It will take 123 years to reach gender parity, according to our newly released Global Gender Gap Report 2025. This may seem like a long time, but that figure was 132 years in 2024 - the world has made progress towards gender parity since then. This year's Index finds that improvements have been made in 11 out of 14 indicators measured, with top performers among lower-income groups making significant strides to close their gender gaps.
