🛑 *Gaza: 75 days without aid* “_Families in Gaza are starving while the food they need is sitting at the border._” — Cindy McCain, WFP Executive Director *Right now, WFP trucks are waiting at the border with 130,000 metric tons of food, enough to help the entire population of Gaza for over two months.* Here’s the latest: 🕒 Since 2 March, no humanitarian aid has been allowed into Gaza. That’s 75 days without access. 🍽️ Food is dangerously scarce. Hunger and malnutrition are rising fast. ⚠️ _Famine is a growing threat._ *In April, WFP delivered:* 🍛 11 million hot meals 📦 Food parcels for 5,000+ people 🌾 165 wheat flour bags 🍪 Emergency biscuits for over 73,000 people But now... 🚛 Life-saving food is stuck at the border. 🔒 Families in Gaza are starving. 📣 “_If we wait until famine is confirmed, it will already be too late._” — Cindy McCain Since 1991, WFP has served people in Gaza. From day one of this crisis, we’ve distributed food parcels, hot meals, flour for bakeries, and treated malnutrition. *We now stand ready to rush life-saving food as soon as we have access. *One box = one month of food for one person in Ukraine.* Oats. Oil. Meat. Wheat flour. These are some of the essentials that a family needs to cook – 90% of it is bought locally to support small businesses and farmers. 🗣️ “_They live under bombs and daily shelling… They depend on this to feed their families,_” says our colleague Antoine from the frontline in Ukraine. *This one box means survival for people cut off from supermarkets and shops.* 🥣 Right now, 5 million people in Ukraine are facing hunger. 💡 In 2025, WFP is reaching *1.5 million people every month with food* – 90% of this assistance is delivered in frontline regions. Many towns have no electricity, no work, and fields full of mines. *Northern Gaza: new footage* 📍 This used to be someone’s home Across Gaza, families are returning after the ceasefire. But what they find is devastation —homes turned to rubble, streets where children played now unrecognizable. Despite it all, people are determined to rebuild. 💬_“Speaking to people here, there is some sense of hope, I think, but also confusion. People are really worried about what is going to happen.”_ – Carl Skau, Deputy Executive Director at WFP The UN World Food Programme (WFP) is still in Gaza, delivering food and hot meals, supplying bakeries with wheat flour, yeast, sugar, and fuel—helping families survive and rebuild. 💬 _“We are back with some 20 bakeries across the strip. *📢 Gaza: A long road ahead* We’re delivering life-saving food. After fifteen months, the ceasefire has opened the way for safe access, allowing WFP to ramp up our emergency response. With this access — and the generosity of our supporters — we’re finally able to deliver food at scale to families across Gaza. 🚛 In the first two days following the ceasefire, more than *1,500 aid trucks* entered Gaza. 🥖 Families are receiving *food parcels and larger rations.* 🏪 Bakeries now have supplies to *make fresh bread daily.* But the needs remain immense. *1.1 million people rely on WFP for food assistance,* and we must keep up the pace. 🔊 Antoine Renard, WFP Palestine Country Director: _"We now have goods coming in.
