Do you know what archaeometry is? It’s a fascinating field that applies scientific techniques to date archaeological remains and analyse ancient materials. In Greece, Artemios is a leading archaeometry researcher at the National Centre for Research “Demokritos.” He explores the trade routes of ancient Greek civilisations—from the Bronze Age to late Antiquity—using methods from physics and materials science.
