आज AICC General Secretaries और Incharges की बैठक में मेरे शुरूआती वक्तव्य के कुछ अंश - हमें काँग्रेस पार्टी की ideology के COMMITTED ऐसे लोगों को आगे बढ़ाना चाहिए जो विपरीत माहौल में भी चटटान की तरह हमारे साथ खड़े हैं। मैं यहां एक सबसे जरूरी बात Accountability के बारे में भी आप सभी से कहना चाहूंगा। आप सभी अपने प्रभार वाले राज्यों के संगठन और भविष्य के चुनाव परिणामों के लिए Accountable होंगे। आप सभी जानते हैं कि हमारा “संविधान बचाओ अभियान” चल रहा है। जय बापू, जय भीम, जय संविधान कार्यक्रम बेलगांव में हमने तय किया था। ये अगले एक वर्ष तक चलेगा। इसके तहत पदयात्रा, संवाद, Corner meetings जैसी गतिविधियां चलायी जा सकती है। लेकिन ऐसे हर programme का लक्ष्य होना चाहिए संगठन का सशक्तिकरण ! इस बीच हमारे सामने एक नई चुनौती खड़ी हो गई है। आप जानते हैं कि इन दिनों चुनाव में Voter List Manipulation का काम बड़े पैमाने पर हो रहा है। इसके बारे में लोक सभा में @RahulGandhi जी ने भी सवाल उठाया। आप सभी को महसूस होगा कि आज कल हमारे समर्थकों के नाम voter list से काट दिए जाते हैं। या नाम हटाकर बगल के booth से जोड़ दिया जाता है। BJP की तरफ़ से नए नाम चुनाव के ठीक पहले जोड़े जाते हैं। इस धांधली को हर हाल में रोकना होगा। Supreme Court के आदेश से Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) की Selection Committee में Chief Justice को भी जोड़ा गया था। मोदी जी ने उन्हें भी बाहर कर दिया। सरकार को देश के Chief Justice की निष्पक्षता पर भी भरोसा नहीं है। Supreme Court में आज इस मामले की सुनवाई होने वाली थी, सरकार ने इसके पहले नए CEC की घोषणा कर दी। राहुल जी ने कहा भी कि ऐसे Selection Committee का क्या फायदा, जहाँ आप LOP का इस्तेमाल सिर्फ़ certification के लिए कर रहे हैं? इन बातों के साथ देश के सामने अनगिनत चुनौतियाँ हैं। महँगाई और बेरोज़गारी स्थायी मसला बना हुआ है। मोदी सरकार इस मामले में पूरी तरह विफल रही है। मोदीजी की यात्रा के बावजूद अमेरिका पहले की ही तरह भारतीय नागरिकों को हथकड़ी लगा कर वापिस भेज रहा है। Vegetarian यात्रियों को non veg खाना दिया गया । हमारी सरकार इस अपमान का ठीक तरीके से विरोध जताने में भी विफल रही। आर्थिक मामलों में भी अमेरिका हम पर गहरी चोट कर रहा है। हम पर उलटा Tariff लगा दिया, पर प्रधानमंत्री ने इसका विरोध तक नहीं किया। वे हम पर जबरदस्ती घाटे का सौदा थोप रहे हैं, जिसे हमारी सरकार चुपचाप मान ले रही है। ये साफ़-साफ़ हिंदुस्तान और हिंदुस्तान के लोगों का अपमान है। अगला 5 साल हमारा प्रयास होना चाहिए कि हम जनता के मुद्दों को लेकर लगातार संघर्ष और जन आंदोलन करके मुख्य विपक्ष की भूमिका में उभरने का प्रयास करें। इससे ही हम लोगों की पहली पसंद बनेंगे।

.@narendramodi ji, 100 Cr Indians do not have any extra income to spend. 60% of our GDP is dependent on Consumption. But it is only the top 10% in India who drive economic growth and consumption & 90% cannot afford to buy basic daily needs. The middle 50% of India’s tax-paying population has seen little to no wage growth in the past decade. Rural wages are witnessing negative growth. Wealth concentration is widening, and your policies have failed to distribute income amongst all. Stagnant wages, persistent inflation & plunging consumption in the past 10 years has resulted in - 1⃣Household Savings at 50-year low. 2⃣Income Inequality at 100-year high. 3⃣Household Debt is at an all-time high. We are staring at a global Tariff War & Trade Barriers. Unemployment has become unbearable for our Youth. Budget announcements turned out to be DAMP SQUIB! Your version of 'VIKSIT BHARAT' empties the pockets of Ordinary Indians & fills the coffers of select Billionaires!

On #NationalScienceDay, we express our sincere gratitude to the countless scientists, researchers, inventors, innovators and everyone who is part of the scientific community for their tireless dedication to advancing India's scientific progress. Emphasising on inculcating scientific temper, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru said - “The scientific approach and temper are, or should be, a way of life, a process of thinking, a method of acting and associating with our fellow men.” As India advances its steps in this Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) characterised by the use of smart systems, big data, and artificial intelligence (AI), we must continue our fight against dogma, superstition and irrational thinking which is still prevalent in sections of our society. Public representatives must focus on encouraging reason rather than absurdity, science rather than ignorance and research rather than fakery.
