Treehoo Cross has re-opened following this afternoon’s collision

R194 Virginia to Ballyjamesduff road closed until tomorrow evening due to a serious incident. Road closed from N3 roundabout to Dunancory bridge. Strictly no through route from bridge to roundabout for any traffic.

Following a road traffic accident in Virginia, the Virginia to Ballyjamesduff road is temporarily closed while emergency services attend the scene. There is a diversion in place via Dunancory bridge.


An ESB pole has fallen on the R178 in Shercock Town. ESB crews are currently on scene, but the road is likely to be closed for a number of hours. Diversions are in place via Kingscourt.
