14 crews in total are out clearing storm damage and will work until daylight ends. Biggest issue they are facing is that there is a lot of trees which have not fallen but are dangerous and will have to be removed. When they go out to remove a tree they are discovering more which have not been reported. Please stay clear of electrical cables. Dublin has now moved to a Status Yellow warning. This is in place from 12pm-4pm, with strong to near gale force westerly winds and damaging gusts. There is a good amount of debris across Fingal and our crews are now out and about to assist with the clean up - they will tackle priority routes first before moving to local roads. So far we have received reports of 82 trees down across the county, as well as the ice-rink in Millennium Park being severely damaged. Our parks will remain closed today and will be inspected later this afternoon. Alongside this, all of our pitches will be closed this weekend, with assessments for playability not being carried out until Monday. While council offices and facilities are closed today, it will still be business as usual with all of our staff working and responding to any queries.
