Today, 18 May 2025, we bid a heartfelt farewell to our beloved giant pandas, Fu Wa and Feng Yi as they return to their home in the People’s Republic of China. They’ve been with us since 21 May 2014, as part of the International Cooperation Project on Giant Panda Conservation. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank Fu Wa and Feng Yi for bringing so much joy, warmth and love to Zoo Negara and the people of Malaysia. Whether it was their lively playtime, the playful moment with duck toys or their peaceful sleeping poses, every little moment left a big impact. They have planted a love for conservation in our hearts and reminded us of the precious beauty of wildlife. Our heartfelt thanks also go to the dedicated panda keepers for their exceptional care and devotion to Fu Wa and Feng Yi. We are deeply grateful for the love and support shown by both Malaysians and visitors from around the world. Let’s all wish them a beautiful and joyful retirement, full of peace and happiness wherever they may be 🐼🐼💖

Kesedaran untuk sayang dan lindungi haiwan sebaiknya dipupuk dari kecil. Cara paling mudah? Dedahkan kanak-kanak dengan dunia haiwan dari kecil lagi!🐾❤️✨ Melalui program *Kancil Ranger* di Zoo Negara, pelajar akan dibawa jalan-jalan keliling zoo oleh ranger kami yang penuh dengan cerita menarik tentang haiwan liar!🤠 Bukan hanya tengok haiwan, mereka juga akan belajar kenapa penting untuk jaga dan lindungi haiwan-haiwan ni. As a keystone species, sun bears play a vital role in maintaining healthy forest ecosystems. It's also crucial that we safeguard our native wildlife.
