#PSA ๐ ๐All Circle Line (#CCL) stations will close earlier at 11pm from 15 June to 30 July 2025, every Sunday to Wednesday. This is to facilitate the system renewal works needed to ensure compatibility with CCL Stage 6 (#CCL6), which will open in first half of next year. #CloseTheCircle โก๏ธFurther temporary train service adjustments will be needed to complete systems integration testing. These are tentatively planned from September to December 2025. We will provide more details later. Commuters are advised to plan their journeys in advance. Thank you for your understanding.

This week, we impounded 78 devices during an islandwide enforcement operation targeting non-compliant active mobility (AM) devices in public areas and housing estates. ๐ฎ This operation is part of our ongoing efforts and preventive measures to address the rising number of fire incidents involving non-compliant AM devices in residential areas. LTA is empowered to take enforcement action against non-compliant Power-Assisted Bicycles (PABs) and Personal Mobility Devices (PMDs). ๐ซ Under Rule 3 of the Road Traffic (Power-Assisted Bicycles Approval) Rules 2004, it is an offence to keep non-compliant PABs. LTA can impound non-compliant PABs from any location. ๐ซ Under Section 45 of the Active Mobility Act, LTA can impound devices found on public paths โ including HDB common corridors and stairwells โ that endanger other public path users. ๐ Notices will be issued to owners of impounded registered devices. PABs and e-scooters must be registered with LTA. Owners of unregistered devices can contact LTA for verification and investigation. โ ๏ธ #Reminder Only purchase and use devices and parts (including batteries) from original manufacturers or authorised retailers. ๐ง Travelling along Lim Chu Kang Road?ย ๐ฃ๏ธ ย From 8 June 2025, 0030hrs, it will be realigned to facilitate the expansion of Tengah Air Base. ๐ฎ๐ปโโ๏ธ Recently, our enforcement officers took action against a retailer, impounding 5 non-compliant active mobility devices (AMDs) and 1 unregistered vehicle. This follows an earlier operation in the Old Choa Chu Kang area, where 9 unregistered vehicles were seized. We detected a total of 8 offences, including: ๐ซ Displaying non-compliant power-assisted bicycles (#PAB) and personal mobility devices (#PMD) ๐ซFailing to display warning notice ๐ง๐ปโโ๏ธ Under Section 34(1) of the Active Mobility Act 2017, selling non-compliant AMDs is an offence. Individuals face penalties up to $20,000 and/or 24 months jail, while companies face fines up to $40,000. ๐จ๐ปโโ๏ธ Keeping or using an unregistered vehicle is also an offence under Section 10(1) of the Road Traffic Act, with penalties up to $2,000 and/or 3 months jail. โ ๏ธ #Reminder For safety, all AMDs and vehicles must meet approval and registration requirements before being used on roads and paths. ๐ด๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ฝ Weโll continue to take firm action against retailers who flout these regulations. ๐ Spot any suspicious retail activity?
