Sheikh Ibn Baaz رحمه الله said, I do not know of anything specific for welcoming Ramadan `except that the Muslim receives it with happiness, cheerfulness, great pleasure and thankfulness that Allah has brought Ramadan to him,` as well as being thankful for making him from the successful whom He has allowed to live during this month and be from those who compete in righteous actions. Indeed, *witnessing a new Ramadan is an immense blessing from Allah* and due to this fact the Prophet ﷺ used to give glad tidings to his Companions at the commencement of Ramadan, exemplifying it's merits and what Allah has prepared from the fast rewards for those who fast and stand in prayer. And it is legislated that the Muslim receives this noble month by *making sincere repentance.* [الاختيار ات الفقهيت ص٢١٣]

`REMINDER!` Make your *intentions* sincere for the sake of Allāh. Strive to remain firm among the pious. Do not *love* except for the sake of Allāh. Do not *hate* except for the sake of Allāh. No *human’s validation can benefit you* if Allāh is not pleased with you. _"Whoever seeks Allāh’s pleasure at the cost of people’s displeasure, Allāh will suffice him against the people. And whoever seeks people’s pleasure at the cost of Allāh’s displeasure, Allāh will leave him to the people."_ (Ibn Hibban) May Allāh keep us sincere and steadfast!

```Beware of the Thieves of Ramadhan``` *The First Thief:* 🔸 `The Television:` a dangerous thief which corrupts the fast of a person and reduces the reward due to worthless series and programs and shameless shows. *The Second Thief:* 🔹 `The Market:` a thief which specializes in spending money and time uselessly without reckoning. In order to overcome it, define your goal (for shopping) [i.e., make a list] before going. *The Third Thief:* 🔸 `Staying up late for entertainment:` it steals the most valuable time and prevents you from Tahajjud and seeking forgiveness in the last third of the night. *The Fourth Thief:* 🔹 `The Kitchen:` Specially for the women who spend long hours preparing many dishes that are almost indistinct from one another except the moment that they are eaten and much of it is thrown into the garbage. *The Fifth Thief:* 🔸 `The Telephone:` long conversations and what results from them of sins: backbiting and slander, he say/she say and spreading secrets. *The Sixth Thief:* 🔹 `Miserliness:` which will prevent you from the rewards and remuneration of charity that protects from the Fire, especially the charity in the month of Ramadhan. *The Seventh Thief:* 🔸 `Gatherings:` which are void of the remembrance of Allah and which will be a cause for sorrow for their companions on the Day of Judgement. *The Final One, the Ring Leader of Thieves:* 🔹 `Social Media which is not utilized in what pleases Allah.` So hurry, quick and have lofty ambitions. It is nothing but a limited number of days , that which many were compassionate about and were hopeful to be made joyful by it, but destiny carried them away, may Allah the Most High have mercy on them. May Allah grant us success to reap the fruits of this noble month and spend it in doing what our Lord loves and is pleased with.
