*AIM Mumbai Submits Legal Notice Against Illegal AAPAR ID Mandate* https://awakenindiamovement.com/aim-mumbais-legal-notice-against-illegal-aapar-id-mandate/ Today, over 20 members of AIM Mumbai gathered at Kalina Campus, University of Mumbai, to submit Advocate Tanvir Nizam's legal notice against the unlawful imposition of AAPAR ID and ABC DigiLocker in the admission process. The notice, supported by RTI responses and government circulars, clearly states that AAPAR registration is voluntary and cannot be made mandatory. After waiting for over three hours, the university’s director Dr. Pooja Raundale refused to meet, and the notice was submitted via the inward register. The team also met Mr. P. Shinkar from the University's software programming department, who has a legal background. He appreciated the documentation and suggested submitting the notice to the Registrar of Education. He assured that the AAPAR ID clause could be removed instantly upon directive from higher authorities and that the admission deadline could also be extended, as was done last year, when the APAAR requirement was similarly rolled back. The notice was subsequently submitted to the Registrar of Education, and 2 writ petitions are being filed tomorrow against the University of Mumbai, its Registrar, and the Maharashtra State Board in Pune to stop the illegal enforcement of AAPAR in the Degree College, SSC and HSC admission processes.
