WHERE GOD MAKES HIS MEN IS NOT ON THE PULPIT LIKE THIS. IT IS IN THAT SECRET PLACE. When Jesus said father, I wish that this cup would pass away. That was not occasion. Jesus had a regular practice of going to that mountain to settle issues. And today, the issue needed to settle was the issue of the cross. You see what some of you are looking is only the day when somebody proposes to you. A brother came and just proposed to you and said I need an answer by next week. That's the day you will start saying, Oh my God, Oh my God. Oh my God. Then you will say look, I'm going somewhere; I want to pray. And then you are just shaking your head there. Of course, you are likely going to come back and say the Lord said YES. This is because that's not your regular habit. For Jesus, the altar for him is regular. When we were on campus, and my room was always crowded because we have people squatting with us. When I really want to pray; when I had not yet known that I could go somewhere else. I was looking forward to praying in this crowded room. So, I cleared my bed, I cleared under the bed. And I will crawl in under that bed. Just stay on that as people will be going up and down in the room, they will not know I'm there. I'm there with God. So, when I would have prayed, I will crawl out. But when I discovered that even that under the bed is no longer secret enough; because some people already knew that I used to go under the bed. When they come, they will say, Gbile, we saw your leg go, come out, come out. We have to talk. I knew that my secret place is no more secrets. So, what did I do? I now looked for another altar under the woods. There are certain trees around our campus, I will just go there. Staying between the trees, sit there like that and I'm praying and studying. Most of the issues that I settled with God that time, are the result of what you see today. I was crying, Lord use me like you used John Wesley. I will say use me Lord. I remember one day, I was saying, Lord, use me like you used Charles Finney. The Lord said, I don’t use people that I don't have. I say, what do you mean by that? He said, I don't have you yet. I see you; You are ambitious, you have your programme, you have your project. My pray changed. Lord, take my life, take my life, take my life. I surrender to you, I give you my life, I give you my life, I give you my life. See me, See me, See me, Lord. When I prayed and prayed, saying fill me, Lord, fill me, Lord, fill me Lord. The Lord said, Where? You are full already, where are we going to fill you? You are full. I said God, so break me, empty me. break me, empty me. So, you see, where God makes his men is not on the pulpit like this. It is in that secret place. When you are not available there, there's nothing for God to work on. NOW IRREGULAR ALTAR THAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT NEED A MEETING POINT; IT NEEDS A MEETING PLACE AND A MEETING TIME. ANYTIME IS NO TIME.
