Contrary to circulating reports, the media officer of Fatah in the Tyre region, Mohammad Baqai, clarified that the individual accused of the hit-and-run incident involving a motorcycle convoy in Al-Aqibiya is Lebanese, not Palestinian. The incident occurred when a vehicle struck members of the convoy. The driver was later identified, and his vehicle was set on fire. Reports falsely suggested that he was Palestinian, but official sources confirm that he is Lebanese. خلافًا لما يتم تداوله، أكد المسؤول الإعلامي لحركة فتح في منطقة صور، محمد بقاعي، أن الشخص المتهم بحادثة الدهس التي استهدفت مسيرة دراجات نارية في منطقة العاقبية هو لبناني الجنسية، وليس فلسطينيًا كما أُشيع في بعض الوسائل الإعلامية ومنصات التواصل الاجتماعي. وقع الحادث عندما اصطدمت مركبة بأفراد من المسيرة. وبعد التعرف على هوية السائق، أقدمت مجموعة على إحراق مركبته. وقد انتشرت تقارير خاطئة تفيد بأنه فلسطيني، لكن المصادر الرسمية تؤكد أنه لبناني.
A meeting took place in Baabda between Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri, and Prime Minister-designate Nawaf Salam. Following the discussions, Berri left the presidential palace, and Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Mahmoud Makiyeh was called in. Makiyeh has since arrived in Baabda, where the talks are ongoing. عُقد اجتماع في قصر بعبدا بين رئيس الجمهورية اللبنانية جوزاف عون، ورئيس مجلس النواب نبيه بري، ورئيس الحكومة المكلّف نواف سلام. وبعد انتهاء المناقشات، غادر بري القصر الرئاسي، وتم استدعاء الأمين العام لمجلس الوزراء محمود مكيّه، الذي وصل لاحقًا إلى بعبدا حيث تستمرّ المحادثات.
