Prosperity @5: Minister of Health, Prof. Pate inaugurates Zipline technology, 800 meters access road .....commends Gov. Diri for the development of Bayelsa healthcare Minister of Health, Prof. Mohammed Ali Pate, has inaugurated Zipline technology as part of activities marking the 5th Prosperity Administration under Governor Douye Diri. Prof. Pate who is also the Coordinating minister of Health and Social Welfare, commended Governor Diri for his visionary leadership and committment to healthcare development in Bayelsa state, and stressed that the zipline technology has revolutionalized healthcare delivery in Bayelsa state. Governor Diri of Bayelsa State at the event stated that, the Zipline technology is a tailor-made response and solution to the obstacles to timely delivery of pharmaceutical supplies posed by the unique riverine terrain of the state. Through the use of the drone technology, over twenty thousand zero-dose children have been vaccinated, ensuring a healthy start to life. Other dignitaries at the occasion include Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, Hon. Fred Agbedi, member representing Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency, Hon. Ambaiowei Rodney, member representing southern Ijaw Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Abraham Ingobere, Speaker, Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Secretary to Government, Professor Nimibofa Ayawei, Chief of Staff Government House, Dr. Peter Akpe, members of the State executive council, Local Government Chairmen, Traditional Rulers and other appointees.
