قال العلامة السعدي رحمه الله: شرح محاسن الدين الإسلامي وبيان عقائده وأحكامه وإصلاحه ؛من أعظم الجهاد. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, said, *“The most beloved statements to Allāh are 4:* * *Subhān’Allāh* _(glory be to Allāh)_ * *Al-hamdulilāh* _(praise be to Allāh)_ * *Lā ilāha illa Allāh* _(There is no deity worthy of worship in truth, except Allāh)_ * *And Allāhu akbar* _(Allāh is the greatest)_ *There is no harm in whichever one [i.e. statement] you begin with.”* [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim]

On the authority of 'Ā'ishāh _(whom Allāh is well pleased with)_ who said, the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, said, *“The example of one who recites the Qur’ān [proficiently] and memorises it is that of one with the ‘noble and dutiful scribes [angel]’ {80:15-16}. And the example of one who recites the Qur’ān and is committed to it, although it is difficult for him, will have a double reward.”* [Muttafaqun Alayhi (Agreed upon)].
