Dear Beit Shemesh Community, We are in a period of heightened alert for at least the next 24 hours, with threats from Iran imminent. In the event of a launch from Iran, sirens may sound approximately 15–17 minutes in advance. Please take these warnings seriously and enter a safe area quickly. Do not leave your safe area until you receive an all clear. As we approach Shabbat, we urge all residents to: -Turn on radios before Shabbat -Prepare to stay in a protected space for *at least one hour* -Stay in or near a safe room until further notice – this may extend beyond Motzei Shabbat -In coordination with the IDF, Hatzala Beit Shemesh has just assigned one of our ambulances to support our soldiers on the front lines. Despite this, we remain fully staffed, equipped, and ready to respond locally. Hatzala is here 24/7 – through this emergency and always. This week, the Municipality of Beit Shemesh convened a preparedness meeting in anticipation of an upcoming emergency drill to be conducted in the city in the near future. The meeting brought together key representatives from the city's emergency response agencies, including the Homefront Command, municipal emergency services, Hatzala Beit Shemesh and other relevant organizations The coordinated effort underscores the city’s commitment to public safety and readiness in times of crisis. Further details about the planned drill will be released by the city in the coming days. השבוע התקיימה בעיריית בית שמש ישיבת היערכות לקראת תרגיל חירום שצפוי להתקיים בעיר בקרוב. בישיבה השתתפו נציגים מרכזיים מהגופים העירוניים האחראים על מענה לשעת חירום, בהם פיקוד העורף, שירותי החירום העירוניים, הצלה בית שמש וגורמים רלוונטיים נוספים. שיתוף הפעולה בין כלל הגורמים מדגיש את מחויבותה של העיר לבטיחות הציבור ולמוכנות בשעת משבר. פרטים נוספים אודות התרגיל המתוכנן יפורסמו לציבור על ידי העירייה בימים הקרובים.
