⚽ Wed *Feb 22nd* 1978 ⚽ Mick Mills won his 10th England cap as England lost 2-1 to world champions West Germany in front of 77,850 fans in Munich. It was Ron Greenwood's first official game as England boss and they lost to an 86th minute goal.


⚽ Sat *Feb 21st* 1998 ⚽ The Blues embarrassed a dreadful Norwich City side 5-0 at Portman Road thanks to a magnificent Alex Mathie hattrick and a brace from flying Dutchman Bobby Petta. It was the biggest derby win in 21 years as Town cruised home.


⚽ Sat *Feb 25th* 1978 ⚽ A vital winner from wily Clive Woods saw Town triumph 1-0 at Newcastle United and grab a huge victory in their attempt to stave off relegation from the top-flight. Woods, now 77 years old, was man of the match in the 1978 FA Cup Final win.


⚽ Sat *Feb 23rd* 1957 ⚽ Doug Millward scored Town's fastest ever goal after eight seconds as Newport County were crushed 5-0 at Portman Road. The Sheffield born striker won a promotion and two titles for The Town and died in Baltimore after coaching in the USA.
