About Pilgrim Fathers
"*Pilgrim Fathers*" Light through darkness. Reason for the name `The name The Pilgrim Fathers originates from a group of English Puritans who, in the early 1600s, sought religious freedom by fleeing persecution in England. They first moved to the Netherlands and later sailed to America on the Mayflower in 1620, establishing the Plymouth Colony. Their journey symbolized faith, perseverance, and the desire for religious liberty.` In The *Great Controversy*, `Ellen White highlights the Pilgrim Fathers in Chapter 16, The Pilgrim Fathers, emphasizing their role in God’s plan to preserve true faith. She describes their struggles, their reliance on God’s guidance, and their commitment to religious principles despite adversity. Their story serves as an example of unwavering faith and the pursuit of spiritual freedom, a theme central to the great conflict between truth and error throughout history.` Our role, in this last days, as pilgrims, *is to preserve true faith.* `God bless`
