We need to hear what you think the future holds for the Conservatory at Corporation Park. 🫵 The Council is ambitious for the park and, like you, would love to see the Conservatory restored and brought back into use. 🙂 We're keen to hear what ideas you have for how the building could be used. 👏 There are no guarantees that the Council can secure the necessary investment to restore the Conservatory, but it’s important to us to put the work in to try, whilst reflecting the views of the local community. 🤝 Complete the survey now. It takes less than 5 minutes! https://bit.ly/43ATKFT Please share with friends and family. ☺️

If you or someone you know is preparing for Hajj or Umrah, be aware that the UK Health Security Agency is advising pilgrims to get their meningitis jabs before travelling. There have been a small number of UK cases of meningitis among people who have been to Saudi Arabia in February and March of this year. Invasive meningococcal disease is rare but serious, leading to severe conditions that can be fatal or leave people with life-changing disabilities. Many local pharmacies offer the meningitis vaccine – speak to yours, or get more information on the National Travel Health Network website: https://travelhealthpro.org.uk/country/191/saudi-arabia

From this Sunday 01 June 2025, it will be illegal for businesses to sell or supply all single-use vapes. The ban includes all ‘disposable’ vapes which are not refillable and use a battery which cannot be recharged. If you have vapes to throw away, please take them to: 👉 The new vape bins in Blackburn and Darwen town centres 👉 The battery container in the Household Waste Recycling Centre 👉 Vape shops should offer a recycling service too. Vapes thrown in the general waste bin can cause fires or explosions. 🔥💥 Thank you for recycling your vape responsibly. 👏
