Reminder - Resurfacing of Common Edge service road Ahead of the resurfacing works due to take place from 5pm tonight, Please could all residents move all their cars off the service road by 5pm today and 5pm tomorrow, so that we can complete these works as quickly as possible. Thank you

Resurfacing of Common Edge service road We’re pleased to say that we are approaching the end of the most disruptive works outside the service road. To do this, we will be resurfacing the service road across two evenings this week. The plan is for the work to take place between 5pm and 10pm on Thursday and Friday. Please could all residents move all their cars off the service road ahead of these works so that we can complete it as quickly as possible. If you are unable to move your vehicle or require access to it, please contact the site cabin on 07561 104 802 and we can arrange temporary access.

Good morning, we are aware of an issue with the temporary traffic lights at the Common Edge Road/School Road junction. People are on site to manually control the traffic and the issue has been reported to ENW to repair their lights asap.

It’s is likely that there will be increased traffic over the weekend. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬 🚦 As part of the ongoing works to create a new road into the Enterprise Zone, four-way temporary traffic lights will be installed at the junction of Common Edge Road and School Road while utility works are carried out. The temporary lights will be in place from Thursday 12 June until Friday 20 June, weather permitting. The works are required as part of the new road being built between Common Edge Road and Amy Johnson Way which is due to open later this year, aiming to help reduce congestion and create jobs for local people. Road users are advised to plan ahead when making travel arrangements in this area as delays are expected.

Common Edge Road Update On Monday and Tuesday 2nd and 3rd June during daytime, in preparation for the carriageway surfacing, We will be adjusting the manhole covers near the entrance to the service road. Access will be maintained but may be a little restricted at times, our traffic management office will be on hand to assist if required.

*Oakwood Close Update* From today for the next seven days, the area of Jepson Way between Oakwood Close and AFC Blackpool will be narrowed to start building the junction to the new road at Hallett Avenue. Two-way traffic will remain between Oakwood Close and Common Edge Road, but cars should take care to give way to any vehicles coming from the football club. Access to the football club and rifle club remains open.
