Also sorry for all the messages today! A busy day on this channel 🤣 Pleeeease can I ask a favour 🙏 - if anyone is planning to come on Sunday to the Pype Hayes Walk (details above) please can you like this post? I don't normally ask for walk numbers but Erdington Walking Group have asked how many of us there will be. It would be helpful to know in terms of seats required at the golf club for lunch. There are 9 people confirmed as coming from Erdington Walking Group so far. Please like or heart this post if you are planning to attend on Sunday 8th June- just so I get a rough idea of numbers. Hi all slight plan change for Sunday, - the walk is going ahead and the timings are all the same etc - just one change to the event for you to note - I have just received an email from Selina Gooden who has been brilliant at organizing everything -and it seems that sadly Pype Hayes golf club have changed plans and scheduled a staff meeting for Sunday which is beyond our control. I hope that you will still come and bring a picnic along too because we can all eat together in the park. I have copied and pasted below the email from Selina - Hello All, Unfortunately the Pype Hayes Golf Club diner have informed me that they are no longer taking bookings again for Sunday due to a staff meeting. Very disappointing 🙁. I know we and the other walking group were looking really forward to attending there. Therefore, we will enjoy a packed lunch to enjoy as a picnic in Pype Hayes Park after our walk instead! Consider bringing a picnic blanket or something to sit on. Pype Hayes Park has a lot of greenery, so it won't be difficult for us to find a suitable spot, maybe near a bench too. Have a great evening ahead all! Please share with your group. Hopefully they'll still wish to attend. I am gutted that the diner have changed their arrangements. Very disappointing
Good morning all. I just wanted to let you know we are all set for the walk today with an 11am start. Erdington Walking Group have just sent me the following message. I hope to see you there ❤️ Good Morning Tonia, Weather will be dry for our walk and packed lunch. Time will instead be 11:00 - 12:15, just because we'll no longer be attending the golf club diner. Anyone bringing a packed lunch should bring something to sit on. Hopefully, we may be near a bench/outdoor table. This will be a pleasant walk that is pathed and predominantly flat. No toilets. I think for the first 15 mins we could introduce ourselves and briefly share about our walking groups. Looking forward to walking with you all. See you then, thanks Tonia 🙂
Tuesday 17th June 12pm Midday 1.9km walk starting from & finishing at Wyndley pedestrian Gate, Sutton Park Access from Wyndley Lane (the road next to Wyndley swimming baths with the duck pond on your left, keep walking until you reach the gate). Please note parking is limited on Wyndley Lane - you could park at Wyndley Leisure Centre as well. Walk should be around 30 mins. If the weather is nice feel free to bring lunch if you would like to eat a picnic with us after the walk.
Pype Hayes Park Walk (walk is FREE & you can buy lunch if you choose to - they only take card payment). Joint walk with Erdington Walking Group - please note they are a female and male walking group. Date: Sunday 8th June Time: 11:00 - 2pm Meeting point: Pype Hayes Park Car Park, 995 Chester Rd, Erdington, Birmingham B24 0HG Lunch: Pype Hayes Golf Course & Gym, 248 Eachelhurst Rd, The Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield B76 1EP Note: No public toilets at Pype Hayes Park and very limited benches. Route is paved throughout. If you need to leave earlier than 2pm from the diner, that's totally fine. The walk back to the Pype Hayes car is really straight forward via google maps I will post a map and also a link to the golf club menu - please note, for those choosing to eat dinner payment is CARD ONLY. There should be toilets at the golf club!. No need to register for the walk as always just turn up. Best wishes, Tonia
I have bought 20 paper plates, napkins, cups and will pick up some buffet style picnic items to share on Sunday. Feel free to bring something along - I will have as much as I can carry ❤️✨
