Intersolar throwback! Can you believe it’s already been three weeks since Intersolar Europe 2025? We are still energised by the incredible atmosphere – and the sheer joy our supersized pyranometer brought to our booth! This wasn’t just any gadget; it was a magnet for smiles, high-fives, and countless memorable photos. We absolutely loved seeing so many of you light up, eager to snap a picture with our giant pyranometer. Check out this short video to see our supersized star in action! Thanks again to everyone who visited us and made Intersolar Europe an unforgettable experience. Your enthusiasm is what truly powers us forward!

Did you know that measurements of fire intensity might differ significantly depending on where the instruments are calibrated? Find out at Interflam 2025! Our Lead Physics Engineer, Chiel Donkers, will present a poster session at this leading fire science and engineering conference. Chiel’s presentation will delve into the 'Differences in Total Heat Flux Meter Calibration Scales among Different Laboratories,' highlighting critical variations observed across diverse laboratory settings. As proud sponsors of Interflam 2025, we are eager to share these important findings and connect with fellow professionals and researchers. Make sure to connect with us at the conference. In building envelopes, heat loss through windows is an important contributor. It’s possible to measure the R-value of windows. The R-value describes the effectiveness of insulating material. The higher the R-value, the better the insulation performance of the window. Which sensor model is best suited for testing on windows? Model FHF05-85X85. This sensor is very sensitive and capable of measuring low heat flux levels. It has a low thermal resistance, resulting in a low resistance error. This reduces the uncertainty of corrections. More about window thermal insulation testing can be read in our application note: https://www.hukseflux.com/uploads/inline/note-measurement_of_window_glass_insulation_R-value_with_heat_flux_sensors_v2308.pdf
