Do you know what a convenience store is? It is a store that you only shop at because it is convenient. But if you had better options, you didn't shop there. You are a convergent store to some of your 'friends'. They only hang out with you because you lend them money or do one or two things for them that are convenient. You need to identify such people and get rid of them. Why? Because flowers will not grow in your garden if you don't get rid of weeds occupying the sieve they should occupy.

There is a fragile line between a joke and an outright insult, and do not be deceived by laughter to swallow an insult and suffer disrespect. If you do, you make yourself a mark for those present who saw that you suffered the insult without consequence. Immediately this happens, benefit serious and address the issue. Overlooking an insult, especially a public one, is the beginning of the end of your self-respect and reputation.

If you have a friend who is pushing for greatness, respects you and like having you around, most especially if he is richer than you and you know your money can’t help him, the least you can do is to be valuable around him and support what he finds purpose in, his skill. That way, it becomes a system of mutual benefits and not a parasitic one. They’ll value your presence and friendship more. Don’t just be the guy who takes off people, give too. Be valuable in your circle!
