Al-ḥamdulillāh, this past weekend at Masjid al-Waḥyain (@MasjidAlWahyain) marked a historic and unforgettable moment for Salafīyyah in the Midwest. The grand reopening was honored with a powerful seminar centered on the timeless poem al-Ḥāʾiyyah of ibn Abī Dāwūd—explained by our noble teachers Shaykh Ḥasan Ṣomālī (@hikmahpubs), Shaykh Anwar Wright (@anwarphilly), and Shaykh Qāsim Mutiva (@ImamStudent). A tele-link was also held with Shaykh Muṣṭafā Mubram (@mbrm1430), adding further benefit to the weekend. The event radiated clarity, unity, and revival—firmly rooted in the Qurʾān, the Sunnah, and the understanding of the Salaf. The masjid was filled wall to wall with brothers from across different cities and states, all gathered in pursuit of sound, authentic knowledge. What stood out was the strong presence of youth—engaged, taking notes, and eager to learn their religion through the correct methodology. This reflects a community committed to cultivating the next generation upon clarity—through pure ʿaqīdah, noble manners, and love for the scholars—not through entertainment, politics, or distractions. At a time when many communities are drowned in ḥizbiyyah and political activism, Masjid al-Waḥyain remains a model Salafī masjid: firm upon the truth, united in brotherhood, and focused on building hearts and minds through beneficial knowledge and righteous action. The administration and local brothers were exemplary in their generosity, hospitality, and organization. The taʿāwun and sincere love for the Sunnah was present in every aspect of the weekend. We ask Allāh to preserve Masjid al-Waḥyain, its admin, teachers, and community, and to make it a lasting beacon of Sunnah and Salafiyyah in Minnesota. We encourage everyone—those who attended and those who benefited from afar—to support this noble effort both physically and financially. [Ḥadīth and Benefit] Qatādah said: Anas ibn Mālik narrated to us that the Prophet (ﷺ), while Muʿādh was riding behind him on the mount, said: “O Muʿādh ibn Jabal.” Muʿādh replied: “At your service and at your pleasure, O Messenger of Allāh.” The Prophet called again: “O Muʿādh!” He replied again: “At your service and at your pleasure, O Messenger of Allāh.” (He said this three times.) Then the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “No one bears witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allāh, and that Muḥammad is the Messenger of Allāh—sincerely from the heart—except that Allāh makes the Fire forbidden for him.” Muʿādh said: “O Messenger of Allāh, shall I not inform the people so they may rejoice?” He (ﷺ) replied: “Then they would rely upon it.” Muʿādh only narrated this ḥadīth at the time of his death, fearing that he might sin by concealing it. ⸻ Shaykh al-ʿAllāmah Zayd ibn Muḥammad al-Madkhalī (d. 1436 AH - Allāh have mercy on him) said: This narration highlights the importance of considering people’s different levels in learning. Not everyone is the same—some understand better than others, and some possess more knowledge than others. Therefore, the teacher should present from the various branches of knowledge what is suitable for each level.
