The Prophet ﷺ said: مَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ يَقُومُونَ مِنْ مَجْلِسٍ لَا يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ فِيهِ، إِلَّا قَامُوا عَنْ مِثْلِ جِيفَةِ حِمَارٍ وَكَانَ لَهُمْ حَسْرَةً ❝Those people who get up from a gathering in which they did not remember Allaah will be just as if they had got up from (a gathering) similar to that of the carcass of a donkey, and it will be a cause of grief to them.❞ [1] 2. The statement of the Prophet ﷺ said: ❝from the rotten carcass of a donkey❞, i.e., a gathering similar to the rotten carcass of a donkey having a foul odor, filthy, and repugnant. The person who does not remember Allaah is compared to a dead. The gathering void of remembrance of Allaah is compared to a dead donkey. When there is bad and reprehensible speech like backbiting and slandering, then it is compared to eating the flesh of a dead person. FOOTNOTE: [1] Sunan Abu Dawood (4855), Musnad Aḥmad (9052, 10413, 10680, 10825), and graded as “Ṣaḥeeḥ” by Shaikh al-Albaanee. See al-Ṣaḥeeḥah (77). Al-Ḥaakim, al-Dhahabee, and al-Albaanee, all agreed that it is “Ṣaḥeeḥ as per the conditions of Imaam Muslim”. Shaikh Muqbil also graded it as authentic as per the conditions of Imaam Muslim in Ṣaḥeeḥ al-Musnad (1328), and al-Jaami` al-Ṣaḥeeḥ (1634, 3590, 4250)

🌟 (6.12) Explanation Of Hisn Al-Muslim: Merits Of Dhikr *Hadeeth*: The Prophet ﷺ said: مَا جَلَسَ قَوْمٌ مَجْلِسًا لَمْ يَذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ فِيهِ، وَلَمْ يُصَلُّوا عَلَى نَبِيِّهِمْ، إِلَّا كَانَ عَلَيْهِمْ تِرَةً، فَإِنْ شَاءَ عَذَّبَهُمْ وَإِنْ شَاءَ غَفَرَ لَهُمْ ❝No group sits in a gathering in which they do not remember Allaah nor send Ṣalaah upon their Prophet, except it will be a source of remorse for them. If He تعالى wills, He will punish them, and if He wills, He will forgive them.❞ *LINK:* https://ilm4all.blogspot.com/2025/02/612-explanation-of-hisn-al-muslim.html

Do not despair of Allaah’s Mercy: In the Qur’aan, Allaah تعالى mentioned the faults and mistakes of his Prophets, not because He تعالى wanted to humiliate or dishonor them, but so that the people could connect and relate to them, and not despair and lose hope in His Mercy. When a person commits a sin or does something really bad, and he now wants to repent, Shaitaan approaches him and says to him: “How do you expect Allaah to forgive you after you have done such a Major sin?”, or “Do you think you will be forgiven after you have done such-and-such?” Whenever a person will try to repent, Shaitaan will keep stirring such doubts in his heart to discourage him from turning to Allaah in repentance and from seeking His forgiveness. So, when you read in the Qur’aan that Aadam عليه السلام disobeyed Allaah while he was in Paradise, or when Yunus عليه السلام left his people and went off in anger, this helps in dispersing and weakening the plots of Shaitaan and getting rid of his evil whispers. And here it becomes clear to us the Wisdom of Allaah. Allaah تعالى did not mention the mistakes of his Prophets to humiliate them, but He تعالى did so, so that the people get encouraged to turn to Allaah in repentance, and not despair of His Mercy.

💠Narration #16 Imaam al-Bukhaaree رحمه الله said in his Saheeh: “Whoever gives in charity and he himself or his family are in need or in debt, the payment of debts has precedence over giving in charity or setting a slave free, or giving presents to others, for in such case his act of charity will not be accepted, and that person has no right to waste the people’s property. And the Prophet ﷺ said: ❝Allaah will destroy the person who takes other’s wealth with the intention of wasting it.❞ But if one is known for his patience and prefers others to himself while he himself is in need, as Abu Bakr did when he gave all his property in charity, it is permissible. Similarly, the Ansaar gave preference to the emigrants over themselves. And the Prophet had forbidden the wasting of wealth, so, a person has no right to waste other’s wealth by spending it in charity.” 📚[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (2/112), Kitaab al-Zakaah (24), Chapter (18)] In Surah al-Nisaa’, in just two Ayaat, Allaah تعالى reminds four times that the inheritance is to be distributed only after the debt has been settled: مِن بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصِي بِهَا أَوْ دَيْنٍ {(The distribution in all cases is) after the payment of legacies he may have bequeathed or (repaying of) debts} 📚[Surah al-Nisaa’ (4); 11-12]

Assalaam alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh. A discussion was held in one of the groups regarding how a lot of people these days do not benefit much from the lectures of the scholars and the study circles even though they attend them regularly. Here are some of the points I had mentioned: 🌟1. Ikhlaas فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَاتَّقَىٰ﴿٥﴾ وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنَىٰ ﴿٦﴾ فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ {As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah and fears Him, And believes in Al-Husna, *WE WILL MAKE SMOOTH FOR HIM THE PATH OF EASE (GOODNESS).*} [Surah al-Layl] We should always keep these two questions in mind: Q1. For whom are we doing this? …For seeking Allaah’s pleasure Q2. Why are we doing this? …To remove our ignorance and of those around us. If one attends the lectures only to increase his "credibility" or to be known among the people as a student of knowledge, then he is missing the purpose. 🌴🌴🌴 🌟2. Taqwa ﴿وَاتَّقُوا اللَّـهَ ۖ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ اللَّـهُ ۗ وَاللَّـهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ﴾ {So be afraid of Allaah; and Allaah teaches you. And Allaah is the All-Knower of each and everything.} [Surah al-Baqarah (2): 282] From Tafseer al-Muyassar (by a group of prominent scholars in Tafseer): ❝Fear Allaah تعالى in all that He has commanded you and in all that He has prohibited; and Allaah تعالى will teach you all that which is beneficial for you in this world and the Hereafter.❞ 🌴🌴🌴 🌟3. Seeking help of Allaah through night prayers. All the major scholars of the past and present have been known to establish night prayers. One can read numerous statements that the two Shaikhs Ibn Baaz and Ibn al-`Uthaymeen never gave up night prayers even if they were tired. In Surah Muzzammil, Allaah تعالى said: {Verily, We shall send down to you a weighty Word}, but before mentioning this, He تعالى commanded the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم to establish the night prayers. 🌴🌴🌴 🌟4. Seeking help through Du`aa 🌴🌴🌴 🌟5. Constant recitation of the Qur’aan - THE FOUNDATION OF KNOWLEDGE 🌴🌴🌴 🌟6. Contemplating over its meaning: `Abdullaah ibn `Umar رضي الله عنه said: ❝We lived during an instant of time in which one of us would receive Imaan (faith) first before receiving the Qur’aan. And when the Surahs were revealed to (Prophet) Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم, we would learn what they permitted and what they prohibited and what they commanded and what they forbade and what should be the stance towards them. But I have seen many men, from whom one is given the Qur’aan before Imaan, and he reads it from the opening of the Book to its closing and he does not know what it orders and what it forbids and what should be his stance towards it. He is like someone who is just throwing out dates [i.e., he does not get any benefit from his recital].❞ [al-Haakim in his “al-Mustadrak” (101) said: “It is Saheeh as per the condition of the Shaikhain (al-Bukhaaree and Muslim) and I do not know of any defect in it, but they did not record it.” Also reported by al-Baihaqee in “Sunan al-Kubraa” (5073) and the wordings are his.] `Abdullaah ibn Mas`ood رضي الله عنه said: ❝ Whenever we used to learn (memorize) ten ayaat from the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, we did not pursue to learn the next ten ayaat which were revealed after it, till we understood the meaning of what we had already learned.❞ [al-Haakim in “al-Mustadrak” (1/743), al-Baihaqee (5072)] 🌴🌴🌴 🌟7. Writing it down 🌴🌴🌴 🌟8. Revision - one important factor in preserving knowledge is revising it. 🌴🌴🌴 🌟9. Leaving off desires: Shaikh Saaleh Aal al-Shaikh حفظه الله said: ❝ The path for seeking knowledge is long, and it cannot be attained except by leaving off (wasting time in) amusement (idle talks etc.) and desires, while approaching it with all seriousness and determination. Because Allaah عز وجل described what He تعالى would reveal upon Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم would be a “Weighty Word.❞ 🌴🌴🌴 🌟10. Leaving off Sins Imaam al-Shaafi`ee رحمه الله said in one of his poems: I complained to Wakee` about my bad memory… So he directed me towards abandoning sins. And said: ❝Know that the knowledge is a blessing… And Allaah تعالى does not give this blessing to a sinner.❞ [al-Jawaab al-Kaafee of Ibn al-Qayyim (1/52)] A few other books have different wordings in the second paragraph: "And he said: ❝Know that Knowledge is Light... And the Light of Allaah is not given to a sinner.❞ 🌴🌴🌴 🌟11. Learning while still young On the authority of Qaboos that his father said that Ibn `Abbaas رضي الله عنهما said: ❝Allaah تعالى has never send a Prophet except that he was young, and no scholar received better `ilm except when he was a youth.❞ [al-Faqeeh wal-Mutafaqqih] And there are many more statements about this. 🌴🌴🌴 🌟12. Seeking the opportunity to learn from the scholars Narrated `Abdullaah ibn `Abbaas رضي الله عنهما: Allaah’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم met some riders at al-Rawhaa’ and asked: “who are they?” They replied: “they are Muslims.” They said: “Who are you?” He صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “(I am) Messenger of Allaah.” A woman (then) lifted up a boy to him and said: “Would this child be credited with having performed the Hajj?” Thereupon he صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Yes, and you will have a reward.” [Saheeh Muslim (1336)] Shaikh al-`Uthaymeen رحمه الله said: ❝ From the benefits of this Hadeeth is that a person should take advantage when a scholar is present. These people - when the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم informed to them that he is the Messenger of Allaah - came to him asking question. So when a scholar is present, a person should seize the opportunity to ask him about the matters which are not clear for him.❞ 🌴🌴🌴 🌟13. Investing in books 🌴🌴🌴 🌟14. Not degrading the status of those whom Allaah تعالى has elevated When we degrade and belittle `Ilm and scholars, Allaah will degrade us. 🌴🌴🌴 🌟15. Being diligent in seeking knowledge 🌴🌴🌴 🌟16. Being in the company of the righteous who will remind us of Allaah when we are with them - through their actions, speech and even through their silence. 💢💢💢 And all praises are for Allaah Alone اللهم إنا نسألك علما نافعا ؛ ورزقا طيبا ؛ وعملا متقبلا

The statement of the Prophet ﷺ: ❝and no person walks a path - in which he does not remember Allaah - except that it will be a cause of regret for him❞; [1] These Aḥaadeeth emphasize the importance of remembering Allaah in gatherings, while walking, before going to bed, etc. And Allaah تعالى said: فَإِذَا قَضَيْتُمُ الصَّلَاةَ فَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ قِيَامًا وَقُعُودًا وَعَلَىٰ جُنُوبِكُمْ {And when you have completed al-Ṣalaah (prayer), remember Allaah standing, sitting, or (lying) on your sides.} [2] From this, we learn that we should try our best to remember Allaah at every moment of our lives: before going to bed, after waking up, while walking, on the way to work, in gatherings, in seclusions, etc. قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ {Say, "Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allaah, Lord of the worlds.} [3] While walking, a person remembers Allaah and ponders over the Aayaat (Verses and Signs of Allaah): الَّذِينَ يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ قِيَامًا وَقُعُودًا وَعَلَىٰ جُنُوبِهِمْ وَيَتَفَكَّرُونَ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَٰذَا بَاطِلًا سُبْحَانَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ {Those who remember Allaah while standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and give thought to the creation of the heavens and the earth, (saying): “Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose, Glory to You! (Exalted be You above all that they associate with You as partners). Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire.} [4] In the gatherings, the person remembers Allaah and reminds others about Allaah. For example, he reminds them it is time for prayer, stops them from backbiting, or corrects their mistakes. As Allaah تعالى mentioned in the Qur’aan: وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ الَّذِينَ يَخُوضُونَ فِي آيَاتِنَا فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَخُوضُوا فِي حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِ ۚ وَإِمَّا يُنسِيَنَّكَ الشَّيْطَانُ فَلَا تَقْعُدْ بَعْدَ الذِّكْرَىٰ مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ * وَمَا عَلَى الَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِم مِّن شَيْءٍ وَلَٰكِن ذِكْرَىٰ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ {And when you see those who engage in (offensive) discourse concerning Our Aayaat, then turn away from them until they enter into another conversation. And if Shaitaan should cause you to forget, then - after the recollection - do not remain with the wrongdoing people. And those who fear Allaah are not held accountable for them in any case, but (their duty) is to remind them, that they may (avoid that and) fear Him} [5] FOOTNOTES: [1] Musnad Aḥmad (9583), and graded as “Ṣaḥeeḥ li Ghairihee” by Shaikh al-Albaanee. See al-Ṣaḥeeḥah (79). The verifiers of Musnad Aḥmad also graded this Ḥadeeth as “Ṣaḥeeḥ” [2] Surah al-Nisaa (4):103 [3] Surah al-An`aam (6):162 [4] Surah aal-`Imraan (3):191 [5] Surah al-An`aam (6): 68-69

⏳THE PROHIBITION OF CURSING TIME⏳ In the Qur’aan, Allaah mentions: وَقَالُوا مَا هِيَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا يُهْلِكُنَا إِلَّا الدَّهْرُ {And they say: "There is nothing but our life of this world, we die and we live AND NOTHING DESTROYS US EXCEPT AL-DAHR* (the time).} [Surah al-Jaathiyah (45): 24] *The word al-Dahr means: “A long period of time”, “era”, “eon”, “epoch” etc. ۝۞۩۞۝ Narrated Abu Hurairah: Allaah’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said: ❝Allaah said: {The son of Aadam displeases Me by abusing the time, whereas I am Myself the time. In My Hand lay all the things and I am the One who causes the revolution of the day and night.}❞ [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (4826, 6181, 7491), Saheeh Muslim (5580, 5581, 5582, 5583, 5584), Sunan Abu Dawood (5274)] ۞ The statement of Allaah تعالى: “I am Myself the time” means: I am the one who controls and manages time as it is evident from the Hadeeth itself: “and I am the One who causes the revolution of the day and night” [Sharh Saheeh Muslim by Shaikh Ibn al-`Uthaymeen] ۝۞۩۞۝ Regarding this issue, people can be divided into three categories: 1) Those who condemn or blame Time, using phrases like: a) What a bad day! b) It is a black day! c) Black Wednesday! (Or any other day of the week) [In the year 2010 and 2011, there were floods in Jeddah, and there was loss of lives and damages to the properties. On both the occasions it happened to be on Wednesday, and hence this phrase was being used in the media.] Shaikh Ibn al-`Uthaymeen said: “If a person merely curses time because bad things are happening to him, then it is Haraam (prohibited). But if he believes that time is what causes things to alternate between good and bad then this is Shirk Akbar (Major Shirk) because when a person attributes events to something other than Allaah, this means that he believes that there is another creator alongside Allaah. [Paraphrased from al-Qawl al-Mufeed `alaa Kitaab al-Tawheed] *** 2) Then there are those who go to the other extreme by (intentionally/unintentionally) attributing the good things to Time: a) Time cures… b) Time heals… (Note: There is a difference between saying, “Time heals / Time is a healer” and “with time, it will heal.”) c) Some even go as far as to say: “O such-and-such month, be easy on me.” This also falls under Shirk Akbar (Major Shirk). *** 3) As for the third, they do not attribute good or bad to Time. They only relay the information on what has happened or is happening: a) Ayyaam al-Jaahiliyyah (the days of ignorance). b) We were facing difficulty today. Shaikh Ibn al-`Uthaymeen said: “Where the intention is to only convey the information without blaming or condemning. This is permissible, such as when a person remarks, “We are suffering from the heat (or the cold) today” and the like, because deeds are judged according to their intentions, and in this case a person is merely describing what is happening without expressing discontent.” [Paraphrased from al-Qawl al-Mufeed `alaa Kitaab al-Tawheed]
