WHAT IS DISCIPLINE? ✓ It is a vital quality that propels achieving success and living a fulfilling life. ✓It is the practice of training oneself to follow a set of rules, regulations or principles with the aim of achieving specific objective or improved behaviour. ✓ It is also the foundation upon which excellence is built and it is the key to unlocking one's full potential.. ✓It will take a man that is disciplined to abide by the rule that he set up for himself. ✓ Grace is not a cover-up for discipline, you must be disciplined even in grace. ✓When you live a life of discipline there are levels of exploits that you will attain, physically and spiritually. NOTE: If you cannot discipline yourself you will be derailed and it will be difficult to achieve purpose in life. NOTE: A DISCIPLINED LIFE IS A STRUCTURED LIFE. If your life is not structured, you will be a prey to the devil. CATEGORIES OF STRUCTURED LIFE THAT WE MUST MAINTAIN A. STRUCTURED SPIRITUAL LIFE. A structured spiritual life must contain the following.: 1 A STRUCTURED WORD OR STUDY LIFE: You must have a Minimum of four chapters of scripture everyday for a start..2Tim 2:15 2 A STRUCTURED PRAYER LIFE : You must sustain a minimum of one hour prayer per day. Daniel 6:10,1Thess5:17 3.A STRUCTURED FASTING LIFE: As a believer that is desire to do more exploit for God, you must fast ,minimum once in a week. (Mark 9:29) 4.A STRUCTURED WORSHIP LIFE (Psalms 119:67) : Every believer must dedicate a minimum of 20 minutes to worship God per day, also listening to spiritual messages is highly essential B. STRUCTURED FINANCIAL LIFE In order to be free from debt and financial struggle as a believer you must do the following. ✓save 20% of any amount that comes into your hands (Genesis 47:24). ✓You must have an investment. HOW TO BE DISCIPLINED D- Develop godly habits that produces success and excellence. I- Initiate a clean goal setting that you will work with. S- Strengthen yourself in the face of challenges and set backs C- Character development such as responsibility, accountability and self control must be built. BENEFITS OF BEING DISCIPLINED D- Decision making will become better (Mark 14:36) I- Increase in productivity (John 15:1-7) S- Self respect is enhanced C- Core goals will be achieved
