Wood Street SNT officers PC Sheikh, PC Dobre and PC Botezatu were conducting patrols around Wood Street E17 and noticed a male who drew their attention. The male was approached and initially gave the name of his brother as his identification. Officer’s made enquiries and his true identity was discovered along with the fact that he was wanted for three burglary and drug related offences from February and March this year. The male was arrested by PC Dobre and conveyed into custody.


Chief Superintendent Dan Card presented a Borough Commanders Commendation to two Chingford Safer Schools officers, PC Biagioni and PC Byford, who were recognised for their hard work & dedication to safeguarding young people.

Good Morning Higham Hill, Chapel End and Markhouse SNT have been conducting their Cuppa with a Copper to engage with their communities and to give crime prevention advice on vehicle crime, cyber scams, protecting your home from burglars, bike registering and domestic violence

Afternoon all SNT officers were conducting patrols in vicinity of Leyton Churchyard when they noticed a large number of known drug users congregating in the area. A male adult approached the group and engaged with them. Officers approached the male, who immediately made off. He was chased by officers who detained and searched him and he was found to be in possession of a large quantity of cash, and a burner phone. He was arrested for being concerned in supply of class A drugs. Once in custody a further search revealed him to concealing a quantity of white and brown powder wraps in his underpants consisting of 47 white and 4 brown powder wraps of class A drugs, for which he was further arrested .

Interfaith Lunch. Yesterday Superintendent Sarah Jackson chaired and hosted an Interfaith Lunch in Walthamstow, with leaders from various Faith Groups from across Waltham Forest and Newham. Local councillors were also present with local Safer Neighbourhood Senior Leaders and ward officers. The event was to discuss the importance of working in partnership, which can significantly enhance community safety, for when we work together, we achieve wonderful things. Superintendent Jackson explained her mission of making Waltham Forest a better place to live and work, by building better and stronger communities.


To address a rise in prolific shoplifting on Station Road, E4, our Special Constables were deployed to the area in plain clothes, where they arrested a male adult, who they recoginsed as being wanted for breach of court bail over a previous theft- shoplifting. The male adult was searched on arrest and found to be in possession of over £800 worth of goods stolen from a store on Station Road for which he was further arrested.


PCSO Tailor from Valley ward attended a Coffee Morning at the South Chingford Congregational Church E4, where he engaged with local resident over a nice cup of tea and discussed any Ward issues where Police may be able assist as well as providing Crime Prevention Advice on SCAMS


A male has also been charged with the burglary of a business premises having been found at the location by police. He awaits a court appearance in March.
