📣 𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐏𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐂 📣 A delegation from the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) recently conducted a field visit to the University of Cape Coast (UCC) to evaluate the progress of the Ghana Pact for Skills project under the Entrepreneurship Stream. This initiative is funded by the European Union (EU) and coordinated by the E4Impact Foundation. Thirteen staff members from UCC, led by Prof. Daniel Agyapong, have applied for the Ghana Pact for Skills project, which will run from 2024 to 2027. The initiative aims to transform tertiary education by enhancing students’ transition into the job market. Focusing on green innovation, digital transformation, and entrepreneurship, the project intends to empower students and local communities through training, incubation, and business acceleration. During the application process, a UNCDF team visited UCC to evaluate its facilities and ability to support the project, including reviewing strategic plans, digital infrastructure, faculty qualifications,

After winning the Chinese Bridge Competition held at UCC last week, Godfred Takyi Boateng, a L100 student of UCC will represent Ghana in the 2025 Chinese Bridge finals in China later this year. The annual language proficiency and cultural contest is an international event opened to non-Chinese students to arouse their enthusiasm in learning Chinese and to strengthen the world’s understanding of the Chinese language and culture. The contest featured students from other universities namely, University of Ghana (UG), and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
