OFFICERS ARRESTED: Three police officers, including Deputy Commissioner Rector Sandema (51), Detective Senior Inspector Martin Basson (56), and Detective Senior Inspector Johannes Anghuwo (49), were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) in Windhoek on 26 February 2025. They are accused of soliciting bribes of N$25,000 from a businesswoman in exchange for assisting in recovering her stolen vehicle. The trio appeared in the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court on Friday and were denied bail.
