Inner City SDC Outage Update 15 June 2025 16:30 Micro Tower Switching Station (Joel Road & Olivia Road distributor): Following an earlier outage affecting areas supplied by the Olivia Road and Joel Road distributors — including Abel, Fife, Joel, Tudhope, Lily, O’Reilly, Louis Botha, and surrounding streets power supply has now been fully restored. Inner City SDC Outage Update 15 June 2025 @19h45 Van Beek Substation (President Street distributor): Power supply has been restored up to 65%. The outage is due a located cable fault and a vandalized chamber on Henry Nxumalo street. This outage will be handed over to the morning shift for repairs. This is affecting Marshalltown, parts of Joburg CBD, specifically President, Van Brondis, and nearby streets. Inner City SDC Outage Update 15 June 2025 @19h50 Observatory Substation (Cyrildene distributor): Power supply has been restored up to 92%. Due to no access at a mini substation, customers will remain off until access is gained. Affected areas include Cyrildene, Bellevue and surroundings.
