It's first affiliation with the Aryabhata Knowledge University, Patna. Now, LNJPIT, Chhapra is affiliated with Bihar Engineering University (BEU), Patna from year 2023. LNJPIT, Chhapra spread over 40 acres of land. LNJPIT is the 7th government Engineering College in Bihar state. The plan is to make it a state of the art technology center and research hub.
