About Pakistan Engineering Council
The Pakistan Engineering Council is a statutory body, constituted under the PEC Act 1976 (V of 1976) amended upto 24th January 2011, to regulate the engineering profession in the country such that it shall function as key driving force for achieving rapid and sustainable growth in all national, economic and social fields. The council shall as its mission set and maintain realistic and internationally relevant standards of professional competence and ethics for engineers, and license engineers, and engineering institutions to competently and professionally promote and uphold the standards.

Date: January 31, 2025 Vice-Chairman Sindh, Engr. Mukhtar Sheikh, paid a visit to the office of Vice-Chairman Punjab, Engr. Suhail Aftab Qureshi, today. During their meeting, the two vice-chairmen engaged in discussions regarding the development of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and its role in promoting the engineering sector and nurturing young engineers. They explored strategies for leveraging PEC's resources to foster growth and improvement within the engineering community. As a token of appreciation for Engr. The meeting aimed to discuss and deliberate on matters related to enrollment and registration of engineers in the province. As the chair, Dr. Qureshi facilitated a productive discussion, ensuring that the committee's objectives were aligned with the Pakistan Engineering Council's (PEC) overall vision for promoting excellence in the engineering profession.
