I loved Allah to the point where any affliction that befell me was made light. He pleased me with every trial. So because of my love for Him I don’t (really) care in which state I enter upon the morning or evening (i.e., I am and will be content). [‘Aamir ibn Qais (Rahimahullah), The Heavenly Dispute by Hafidh Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali (Rahimahullah), pg. 148, Dār as-Sunnah Publishers]

"I am among the sinners, how can I advise people?" Imam Ibn Rajab رحمه اللّه said: "If only the perfect, and those free from sins, gave advice nobody would have ever advised anyone after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ because there is no perfection for anyone after him." [Latalif al-Ma'ärif, pg. 19]

Ibn Rajab رحمه الله said, “By fasting in Sha'ban prior to Ramadan, one will find the sweetness and pleasure of the fast, so that he will enter into the fast of Ramadan with vigor and determination.” [Lataa'if al-Ma'aarif]

Ibn Rajab al-Ḥanbalī: “Know that a believer combines himself in the month of Ramaḍān between 2 Jihād (against) his Nafs; Jihād in the day upon fasting and Jihād in the night upon Qiyām (voluntary prayer) so whoever gathers between these 2 Jihād and fulfills (what) is of their rights, will be sufficed with a reward which is without any account (i.e unlimited).” ● [لطائف المعارف ص ١٧١]

Alhamdulillah, there is a church up for sale in Rochdale, and because there is no masjid of Tawheed in that area, we have bought the church Alhamdulillah. We have to pay the payment of £300,000 in the next 2 months. There is no masjid of Tawheed and Sunnah in this area, so we request you all to aid us in the endeavour by donating. We urgently need Qardh Hasanah for a year so that we can pay off the remaining payment. Ibn Rajab رحمه الله said, “Fasting it is like a training for fasting Ramadan, so that he does not enter the fasting of Ramadan upon discomfort and inconvenience, rather he had trained himself for fasting and he had made it a habit and he had found, through fasting Shaban, the sweetness of fasting and its delight, so he enters the fasting of Ramadan with energy and vigour. Since Shaban is like a prelude to Ramadan, what was legislated in Ramadan was legislated in it; from fasting and recitation of the Quran, so that one can attain preparedness for welcoming Ramadan and for the souls to be accustomed to that, in obedience to Ar Rahman.” [Lata'if al-Maarif 138]

May Allah allow us to all benefit from this Month 🤲🏿

Ibn Rajab Rahimahullah: "How often are the verses of the Qur'an recited to us, yet our hearts remain like stones or even harder? How many Ramadans pass over us, and our condition in them resembles that of the wretched? The youth among us do not abandon their reckless desires, nor do the elders refrain from disgraceful deeds to join the ranks of the righteous." [Lataif al-Ma'arif 174]

Ibn Rajab رحمه الله: “Do not think that poverty is losing wealth, rather losing the religion is the greatest form of poverty.” [مجموع الرسائل ٢٥/١]
