WEBINAR: Next week, the Sana’a Center is organizing a public webinar to shed light on the pressing challenges facing Yemeni banks in light of the US Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) designation of the Houthis and accompanying financial sanctions. The session will explore the sanctions’ impact on the banking sector’s access to international financial markets and its ability to comply with global standards, including Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) requirements. The session will also examine strategies to enable Yemeni banks to continue providing essential banking services and supporting the delivery of humanitarian aid.
