I did not go chasing last night! To be honest I was not entirely confident going by the models that there would be very active thunderstorms so I am glad I did not go! I knew there would be rain but I saw that at home 😂😂 Will definately get out over the summer if conditions look positive!
🔥 Warm weather on the way! 🔥 Warmer air will push in making those temperatures rise! As high as 27°C by Friday! A good deal of sun is forecast between now and Friday also! It does look likely though that cooler air from the atlantic will push in over the weekend allowing those temperatures to drop back a fair bit. Some of the top temperatures based on tonights models! Wednesday : 24 or 25°C Thursday : 26°C Friday : 27°C Saturday : 25-27°C depends on model Sunday : 20°C These are subject to change a bit but a few very nice days coming up! A band of more persistent rain is forecast to push in from the south east in the early hours of the morning and this could bring some intense embedded thunderstorms! Issues are possible on the roads in many areas in the east in particular tomorrow morning! This band of rain is forecast to move up north throughout the morning and afternoon with the risk of thunderstorms throughout. More heavy showers to follow! Risk of localised flooding, hail, frequent lightning all possible so please take care!

🔥 28°C forecast tomorrow! 🔥 Tomorrow will see temperatures rise into the twenties for most areas and in the midlands and west temperatures up to 26°C possible! A chance in Kerry of 27 or even 28°C forecast on the HARMONIE model which is used by Met Eireann. Friday could see temperatures up to 29°C in parts mainly in Ulster!
👀👀👀👀👀 Something I am keeping an eye on! A risk of some severe thunderstorms for parts of Kerry on Thursday! Now this is very uncertain but the risk remains and I will keep you all up to date! IF this was to occur then very frequent lightning, torrential rain and even hail would be likely! Watch this space!
☔️ All rain no thunder! My rainfall gauge collected a decent 15mm of rain overnight! I do not think any lightning or thunder has been present so far overnight and today! Rain will continue in the East and North today with a risk of some thunderstorms!
