*Do you know why Bhagwan Krishna known as Murari!* Once upon a time, there lived a mighty demon named Mura, who had immense strength and magical powers. He was a fierce warrior, feared by Devas, sages, and humans alike. Mura had conquered many realms and terrorized the celestial beings. He became so arrogant that he believed no one could ever defeat him not even the gods themselves.Driven by his desire for power, Mura marched toward Amaravati, the heavenly city of Indra, the king of Devas. Indra and the other gods tried to fight him, but Mura was too powerful. He easily defeated them and took over their celestial kingdom. The Devas, helpless and terrified, gathered together and decided to seek help from Shri Vishnu, the protector of the universe.The Devas prayed to Bhagwan Vishnu, saying: “O Lord, please save us from this dreadful demon! He has taken over our homes and spread terror throughout the heavens. Only you can put an end to his cruelty!” Moved by their prayers, Shri Vishnu promised to defeat Mura and restore peace. He took his divine form and went to confront the demon.A fierce battle erupted between Shri Vishnu and the demon Mura. The demon used powerful weapons and dark magic to attack Vishnu, but the Lord was calm and composed. He wielded his Sudarshana Chakra (divine discus) and struck down Mura’s soldiers one by one.But Mura was no ordinary demon. He had a special power every time he was injured, he would regenerate his body and become even stronger. No weapon seemed to work against him. Despite his efforts, Shri Vishnu saw that the demon kept coming back with renewed strength. Realizing that Mura could only be defeated by divine intervention, Shri Vishnu summoned his supreme energy.As Mura charged toward Shri Vishnu with his sword, Shri Vishnu’s eyes sparkled with divine light. In a swift motion, he released the Sudarshana Chakra, which flew through the air like a blazing comet and struck Mura directly. With a loud cry, the Mura fell to the ground, his dark magic shattered, and his evil powers vanquished forever.After the battle, the Devas praised Shri Vishnu, saying: “O Lord, you have destroyed the demon Mura and saved the world from his evil. You are truly Murari, the slayer of Mura!” From that day on, Shri Vishnu came to be known as Murari. And when Krishna was born as an incarnation of Vishnu, he too was lovingly called Murari by his devotees.This name reminds everyone that Krishna is the destroyer of ignorance, ego, and evil forces. Just as he defeated the demon Mura, he destroys the negative tendencies within us and brings peace, wisdom, and divine love into our lives. Thus, Krishna became Murari ,the protector and savior of all who seek his grace.
