Today Sallux presents in cooperation with UK-based Oxford House Research Ltd (www.oxfordhouseresearch.com) the publication Making Sense of Iran. For instance, this publication provides... 🔶️ a much needed overview of the opposition movements of Iran 🔶️ a description of various international relations of Iran Recommended! https://sallux.eu/bookstore/making-sense-of-iran.html

Some conclusions are: ◾️The fragile and fragmented nature of Iran’s internal life ◾️The strengthening bonds between Tehran, Beijing, Moscow and Pyongyang ◾️The importance of promoting wider regional discussion ◾️The value of hosting and heeding minority representatives and perspectives from inside Iran ◾️The duty of liberal Western democracies to honour in theory and practice the terms on which they function as states ◾️The opportunity new leadership offers for a reset on Iranian-Western relations ◾️The potential of a ‘carrot and stick’ approach to hostile, unpredictable, regimes like Iran

Salt & Light Event (7th of June) On the second day of our yearly members' conference, Sallux hosted our Salt & Light event of this year. As a valuable preparation, conference participants were asked to take notion of the white paper of Christel Lamère Ngnambi, called ''An integrative framework for political action''. Next to this, every participant got a copy of "Political Wisdom. A future for Christian politics" by Dr. Rob Nijhoff the previous evening, meant as preparation and as a tool for continuing study afterwards. The aim of these reels (#3) is to diversify the European debate about asylummigration from the African continent towards Europe. 📌It's very possible to promote a vision of migration that can bring together both the politically 'left' and the 'right,' and that also points to serious solutions.
