RICK AT 18 | Yesterday, Rick completed his 18th year with the team, marking it with the gift of biscuits courtesy of Heath SNT's Gabe. "I've spent almost half my life walking the streets here. I've known every member this team has had, I've known people who have since passed away and I've probably seen your kids have kids." -Rick


HEATH ENGAGEMENT | Over the past two days, Rick and Lee have been assisting the Heath SNT with a second week of focused engagement across the ward. The Heath Park Estate has seen much of the presence, along with the likes of Hawkwell, Peverel and Laburnum House. Today Rick also added another set of keys left in a front door to his collection.


JUNIOR CITIZEN | Yesterday, Rick was assisting with talks on knife/weapon crime as part of a 3-week Junior Citizen event aimed at helping primary school children stay safe. Year 6s from Eastbrook Primary and Rush Green Primary were joined by the likes of the London Fire Brigade (LFB), London Ambulance Service (LAS) and Subwize. Image courtesy of @MPSBarkDag (X.com).


CANNABIS STOPS | On Saturday afternoon (24th May), Lee, joined by Ross and Gabe (Heath SNT), issued 2 community resolutions (recorded warnings) for cannabis in Central Park. The two men were found in possession of a joint and two small bags of the Class B drug (image from 11/05/2025).


FOOT PATROL | Rick's 8.16-mile patrol today included: - An after-school presence around Eastbrook School - 1.82 miles of Central Park - Thorntons Farm Avenue (5.26pm) - Lincoln Ave (5.35pm) - Parish Fields (6.40pm) - Great Cullings (8.04pm) - Fels Farm Mews (8.34pm) - The Eastbrookend Country Park (p)


YOUTH ENGAGEMENT | Rick was at the May and Baker Social for the latter part of last week assisting with a multisport camp hosted by the Daggers Community Trust and aimed at primary school children. Rick was on hand to answer questions about the police and staying safe, including talks on Clever Never Goes, an updated take on Stranger Danger. Scoring goals was also part of the service. JUNIOR CITIZEN II | Rick was back on JC duty yesterday, presenting a workshop on knife/weapon awareness to Year 6 children. 12 groups of Rose Lane Primary pupils were given a simplified explanation of the law on bladed/pointed items in public places, including schools.


THE KEYFINDER | Rick struck again in Parish Fields this afternoon, making it a second set of keys for the month. It's now 6 this year and 119 since 2018 for the 17-year, 51-week veteran.
