They might be the best songs you’ve never heard, like a Bananarama cover of the Sex Pistols, or a Chinese version of the Sound of Silence, they might be the best dancehall from 1985 or indie from 2009, or just the best songs for drinking a pint on a Sunday afternoon in a little oasis of calm before facing reality tomorrow. The common thread is they’re the best. The Magic Roundabout is an afternoon of good music channelling the eclectic energy of unknown treasures and absolute classics, covering every genre you can think of, from electronica, dub and punk to hip-hop, northern soul, and all kinds of funk.
