Update for ATDF-ASA Members on Hollard Highway Heroes (HHH) Meeting – 3 February 2025 Dear ATDF-ASA Members, We recently engaged with Hollard Insurance regarding their Holland Highway Heroes (HHH) initiative, which aims to improve safety, efficiency, and support for truck drivers in South Africa. Below are key points from the meeting: 1. HHH Data Access Mechanism: The tracking and monitoring system used in HHH is proprietary and controlled by the fleet/truck owners. Drivers interested in participating in HHH must engage with their employers. ATDF-ASA will voluntarily assist in fostering this engagement between drivers and their employers. 2. Weighbridge & Truck Stop Activations: Hollard has committed to sharing activation dates for weighbridges and truck stops where they will be involved. These activations provide valuable engagement opportunities for drivers. 3. Future Engagement & Updates: Hollard will keep ATDF-ASA informed about HHH dates and phases throughout 2025. Continuous updates will ensure that interested drivers are aware of opportunities to participate. 4. Women in Transport & Commercial Transport Academy: Hollard will facilitate a connection between ATDF-ASA Gauteng and the Commercial Transport Academy, which focuses on empowering women in the trucking industry. This opens up potential collaboration and training opportunities. We appreciate Hollard Insurance commitment to improving the trucking industry and look forward to a productive working relationship. For any questions or to express interest in the HHH program, please reach out to ATDF-ASA Gauteng leadership.
