*Minister Alfred Sears* attended a key meeting with China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi on May 12, 2025, focused on strengthening ties and deepening cooperation across sectors. Caribbean nations reaffirmed their support for the One China Policy, while China pledged continued support for the development of small island states. The Bahamas looks forward to working closely with the China International Development Cooperation Agency. _Minister Sears was joined by Ambassador Paulette Bethel and Minister Plenipotentiary Julie Campbell._
To mark SAC’s 80th anniversary, the Student Council paid a courtesy call to alumna Dr. Tami Francis (Class of '91), recently appointed Director of NIB. She was celebrated as a true reflection of this year’s theme: _*"Powering Success Through Excellence."*_
