*“Worst Post-War Human Rights Violations In Japan”* _Protesting extremely biased media coverage and human rights violations that include abductions and forcible confinement up to 12 years of members of large religious minority_ A gathering was held on 26th January in Yokohama City protesting the illegal acts of abduction, confinement, and forced renunciation of faith involving over 4,300 believers of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (formerly the Unification Church). The event condemned the involvement of “faith-breakers” and Christian pastors in these actions. *Head Of Hostile Campaign Guilty Of Defamation* _Guilty of defamation: Loss at Tokyo court for leading activist journalist campaigning against religious minority_ Toru Goto (後藤徹), a believer of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (formerly the Unification Church), sued Suzuki for defamation, claiming that Suzuki’s articles and remarks had harmed Goto’s reputation. The Tokyo District Court issued on 31st January 2025, a verdict that some of Suzuki’s comments were defamatory. The judges ordered Suzuki to pay 110,000 yen (approximately $710 USD) in damages. *Rare Legal Victory For Family Federation Member* _Token compensation for member of persecuted minority the Family Federation in legal victory in defamation case against activist journalist_ On 31st January 2025, the Tokyo District Court ruled in a lawsuit filed by Toru Goto, representative of the National Association of Victims of Abduction, Confinement, and Forced Deconversion, against journalist Eito Suzuki. *New Message Of Mother Han At Birthday Event* _Hak Ja Han’s new message at global service in commemoration of the joint birthday of the True Parents_ As part of the celebrations of the joint birthday of Father Moon and Mother Han, a “Global Worship Service” was held at the Cheongshim Peace World Center, a large indoor arena in Gapyeong, South Korea on 2nd February 2025. This was a major event in the weeklong celebration as Hak Ja Han turns 82. Sun Myung Moon would have been 105.
