Frequent Dhikr during the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنه) reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “No days are greater to Allah, nor are good deeds more beloved by Him during them, than the Ten Days. So increase tasbih (Subhan'Allah), tahmid (Alhamdulillah), takbir (Allahu Akbar), and tahlil (La ilaha illallah) during these days.” ----------------------------------- [Recorded by Ahmad and at-Tahawi. Verified to be hasan by al-Albani (Irwa' ul Ghalil no. 890)]
Sheikh ul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said, "Occupying the Ten Days of Dhul Hijjah with worship, whether in the day or night, is better than a Jihaad in which a person did not lose his life nor all of his wealth." [Fataawa Al Kubraa pg.342. v.51]
Shaykh Sulayman ar-Ruhayli حفظه الله : The ten [days] have entered, and deeds done during them are more beloved, greater, and purer with Allah. So be keen on completing the obligatory acts & perfecting them. And be keen on increasing in the Sunnah & supererogatory acts. And be keen on every righteous deed you are able to do during these ten days. And be even more eager to increase in the remembrance of Allah. And increase in reciting the Qur’an, saying Subhan’Allah, Alhamdulilah, La ilaha illa Allah, and Allahu akbar. And raise your voice, O man, with the takbīr. And be keen on the adhkār connected to their occasions, like responding to the call of the mu’adhdhin, and sending blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ after the adhan ends, And saying: “O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and the established prayer, grant Muhammad the wasilah and the virtue, and raise him to the praised station You have promised him.” Be keen on seizing the blessed ten [days] with whatever deeds and words you are able to do—those which
Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen رحمه الله said, "What is surprising is that the people are negligent of these 10 days of Dhul Hijjah. You find them in the last 10 days of Ramadan striving in deeds but as for the first10 days of Dhul Hijjah, you barely find anyone differentiating between them and other than them. However if a person performs righteous actions in these 10 days in revival of that which He ﷺ guided towards from the righteous actions, then he is upon great good." [مجمو ع فتاوى ٢١ / ٣٨-٣٧]

Dua for the start of a new month. اللهُ أَكْبَر، اللّهُمَّ أَهِلَّهُ عَلَيْنا بِالأمْنِ وَالإيمان، والسَّلامَةِ والإسْلام، وَالتَّوْفيقِ لِما تُحِبُّ رَبَّنا وَتَرْضى، رَبُّنا وَرَبُّكَ الله Allaahu 'Akbar, Allaahumma 'ahillahu 'alayna bil'amni wal'eemaani, wassalaamati wal-'Islaami, wattawfeeqi limaa tuhibbu Rabbanaa wa tardhaa, Rabbunaa wa Rabbukallaahu Allah is the Most Great. O Allāh, bring us the new moon with security and Faith, with peace and in Islām, and in harmony with what our Lord loves and what pleases Him. Our Lord and your Lord is Allah. 👉 In Duaa al-Istikhaarah, when a person says that: “O Allaah! In Your knowledge, if this thing is harmful for me, my religion, or my Hereafter, then keep it away from me and keep me away from it… Shaikh Ibn al-Uthaymeen said: And when he says: فَاصْرِفْهُ عَنِّي وَاصْرِفْنِي عَنْهُ, then keep it away from me and keep me away from it, 🔊Shaikh Ibn al-Uthaymeen رحمه الله said: “فَاصْرِفْهُ عَنِّي meaning: keep that thing away from me so that it does not become easy for me to do it. وَاصْرِفْنِي عَنْهُ meaning: keep me away from it so that I do not think about it, nor does my soul (or desire) try to chase it.” 📚[Sharh Saheeh al-Bukhaaree of Shaikh Ibn al-Uthaymeen (4/256)]
