Thank you very much to the World Diabetes Foundation (WDF). We stand at a crossroads in the fight against non-communicable diseases (NCDs) like diabetes. The staggering reality is that 589 million adults are living with diabetes worldwide, with 252 million undiagnosed—a number projected to rise to 853 million by 2050. This is a clarion call for urgent, decisive action. Digital health solutions offer us a transformative pathway to bridge gaps in prevention, early detection, and access to care, particularly in low- and middle-income countries where the burden is greatest. Yesterday’s discussions highlighted the immense potential of unified digital strategies and the necessity for scaled investment. By working together—across agencies, countries, and sectors—we can break down silos, harmonize frameworks, and accelerate the deployment of innovative technologies that empower both patients and healthcare providers. The IDF and WDF are united in this vision, committed to catalyzing change and ensuring that no one is left behind in the global NCD response. Let us harness the momentum from this event to drive real-world impact. I urge governments, funders, industry, and civil society to join us in scaling up digital health investments and forging the unified approaches our communities so urgently need. Together, we can transform the future of diabetes care and prevention—making health systems more resilient, inclusive, and effective for all. Thank you for your dedication, your partnership, and your unwavering resolve. The journey ahead is challenging, but united, we are unstoppable.
