Are you looking for a tutor for the 12+ (CAT4) tests? If so, we have 2 spaces available! This is a brand new service to us, and so many people may not understand what the 12+ is, please see below an explanation on this. The 12+ exam in Lincolnshire is a late-entry test for students aiming to join a grammar school after Year 7. This exam is designed for those who either did not pass the 11+ exam or have relocated to the area after the initial admissions process. It evaluates a student's cognitive abilities, including verbal, non-verbal, and quantitative reasoning, as well as spatial awareness. Different grammar schools in Lincolnshire may have their own specific arrangements and criteria for the 12+ exam, so it's important to check the admission policies of the individual schools. For instance, several of the Grammar schools in Lincolnshire uses the Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT4) for their 12+ entry. For any further questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch via email: [email protected] or via any of our other communication channels.

We believe that all of our students should be competent in their timestables which is why we have subscribed to TT Rockstars. Students who don't already have a school account can be issued with an account upon registration to ensure that they become efficient in their timestables. Times tables are fundamental for several reasons: Foundation for Advanced Maths: Mastering times tables provides a strong foundation for more complex mathematical concepts, such as algebra, fractions, and division. Improves Mental Arithmetic: Knowing times tables by heart enhances mental arithmetic skills, making it easier to perform calculations quickly and accurately without relying on a calculator. Boosts Confidence: Being proficient in times tables can boost a student's confidence in their mathematical abilities, leading to a more positive attitude towards learning maths. Practical Applications: Times tables are used in everyday situations, such as calculating prices, measuring ingredients for recipes, and managing time.
