Certificates were distributed on 10th June 2025 to the final year Mechanical Engineering students-Navaneet D.J and Gokul C, who have successfully completed Research Internship conducted at the Research Center, Department of Mechanical Engineering. The internship was carried out from 10/02/2025 to 25/05/2025 under the guidance of Dr. Sharath B.N, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, on the topic "Investigating the Mechanical Properties of 3D Printed Polymer Composites". Dr. A.J. Krishnaiah, Principal and Dr. Ezhil Vannan, Head of Mechanical Engineering Department, distributed internship certificates to students.
ASCE student chapter of our institute organised study visit to Yagachi Dam near Belur on 13th June 2025. Civil Engineering students and faculty members along with the alumnus of 1984 batch & Retired Executive Engineer, Cauvery Neeravari Nigama, K.M.K. Sharma, visited the dam and discussed about the technical aspects involved in the planning and construction of this dam. This was reported by the VVC News Channel. Research article titled ‘Performance Analysis of Artificial Gorilla Troop Optimization Algorithm Features based BAT Algorithm for Ground Vibrations Detection using Different Geophone Sensors,’ authored by the faculty members of our institute Gowri Shankar M, Vasundhara M G and Satish V. Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering secured first place and Department of Information Science & Engineering secured second place in ‘Humans of MCE’- an interbranch video competition in which students, faculty, or staff share the quiet moments, kind gestures, and real ways MCE has touched lives. This competition was organised by IUCEE EWB MCE Student Chapter. Prizes were distributed at ‘IUCEE EWB Student Chapter Foundation Day’ event held on 10th June 2025. Humans of MCE was more than an event — it was a journey into the heart of campus life. This storytelling celebration brought out emotions that truly connected us.
Research work carried out by Thejaswini T, M.Tech student in Power and Energy Systems, under the guidance of Dr. Gowri Shankar M, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, was presented at the IEEE 3rd International Conference on Self Sustainable Artificial Intelligence Systems (ICSSAS 2025), organized by M.P.Nachimuthu M.Jaganathan Engineering College, Erode, Tamil Nadu, on 11th June 2025. The research focused on “Detection of Battery Anomaly from Lithium-Ion Batteries using Nature-Inspired Optimization Algorithms”. This research paper will be published in the Scopus-indexed IEEE conference proceedings.
