Proteas to play in Namibia Namibia and the Proteas will contest a historic T20I in Windhoek on 11 October. Zimbabwe has played six away, hosted nine, and from the 15, the Chevrons have only managed to win two. The victories came against Bangladesh in August 2022 before waiting for another seven months to record a victory against the Netherlands. Both wins were at home. In the 15 ODI series Zimbabwe have played in the last five years, the Chevrons have won only 10 matches, which translates to a 22 percent win ratio. In the course of the same five-year period, five matches had no results, contributing 11 percent. Zimbabwe have lost 30 matches of the 45, which translates to a 67 percent loss ratio. *Family shattered after learner’s death in cricket ‘freak’ accident* The family of the matric learner who passed away on Saturday after sustaining injuries during a cricket match say they have been left shattered and are perplexed by the nature of the injuries that allegedly led to his death. Sixteen-year-old Retshegofetse Sennelo from Krugersdorp High School died in hospital after colliding with another learner during a cricket match at the Christian Brothers’ College in Boksburg on Gauteng’s East Rand. Family spokesperson and representative of Faith Community Sanctuary, Joe Mabuela, says initially they were told that the boy had collided with a teammate hitting his head during the cricket match.
