It brings together students and volunteers from all over to curate emerging research on Infectious Diseases under five domains: Public Health; Social Sciences and Humanities; Medical Sciences; Biological and Chemical Sciences; and Physical Sciences and Engineering. Pre-curated preprints are pitched in a weekly editorial meeting with the Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Stefano Bertozzi, and other senior researchers. The most exciting research is put through an independent peer review process. The MIT Press promotes those reviewed favorably to disseminate the most impactful research quickly to the global community. Medical students from across Africa who can devote approximately 3 hours/week towards this important crowd-sourced activity, to screen preprints and provide comments/assessments of cutting-edge research in preprint servers are invited. *Please note*: To sign up for the class, you must have reliable access to Zoom, a laptop and the internet for the live sessions. Those who complete the training will receive a Certificate from UC Berkeley RR\ID and earn the opportunity to join RR\ID as a student editor.
