*More than a meal, A story to feel - _How to stay motivated even after setback_* *Wisdom Droplet : 242* (www.tinyurl.com/WisdomDroplets) Yesterday, I ordered a simple lunch from Subway - a paneer tikka sandwich, Bingo chips, and oat raisin cookies. When the order arrived, I could tell just by looking at the packet - only the sandwich had made it. I told the delivery rider, āThe chips and cookies are missing.ā He stuttered and struggled to respond but humbly said, āSir, please call the restaurant or Zomato.ā I called Subway. They apologized and confirmed the miss. They asked, āCan you send the rider back? Weāll pay him ā¹20 for the trouble.ā But hereās the twist, technically, the rider isnāt supposed to go back unless Zomato tells him to. Because Zomato pays him, not the restaurant. But this man, this absolute gem, said: āSir, itās my responsibility. I want the customer to be happy.ā He didnāt see me as his customer. But he saw the value in doing what was right. He went back, picked up the missing items, came back smiling and refused the ā¹20 from Subway. He said, āGod has given me so much. Why should I take this money for a mistake someone else made?ā Then, he shared his *story* and it gave me goosebumps. He was once a construction supervisor, growing into a managerial role at Shapoorji Pallonji, earning _ā¹1.25 lakhs/month._ But a car accident changed everything. _His left side is paralyzed, hand and leg. He lost his job, his mobility, and for a while, his hope._ But Zomato changed that. They gave him a job. A chance. A purpose. He said: āSir, Zomato kept my family alive. I may be handicapped, but Iāve been given an opportunity. I will never let Zomatoās name be affected.ā His daughter is now studying dentistry. He rides not just for income, but to keep her dream alive. He didnāt blame life. He didnāt complain. He didnāt give excuses. Instead, he smiled, believed in Swami Samarth (his faith), and said: āGod is with me. Why should I worry?ā Today I received a sandwich. But what stayed with me⦠was gratitude, resilience, and hope. Stories like his deserve to be seen and celebrated. *Wisdom :* *1. Let your purpose be bigger than your problems* The rider wasnāt just earning moneyāhe was supporting his daughterās dream. *When you tie your actions to a bigger goal, you stay motivated despite setbacks.* *2. Take ownershipāeven when itās not your fault* When something goes wrong at work or home, *donāt say, āItās not my problem.ā* Step up. Solving problems proactively builds trust and respect. *3. Be grateful for opportunities, even small ones* Instead of complaining about whatās missing in life, recognize and appreciate what you have. *Gratitude shifts your focus from lack to abundance.* *4. Do your job with pride, no matter your position* Whether you're a manager or a delivery person, *give your best*. Excellence is a habit, not a title. *5. Adapt to change with dignity, not despair* Life can change in an instant. If you lose somethingāhealth, a job, or a relationshipā *focus on what you can still do, not what youāve lost.* PS: To read more such Life Changing Stories with Learnings, follow š https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaqHJBr7T8bYR4f3M30L
š®š³ *The Story of NEERA ARYA ā Indiaās First Woman Spy whose bravery inspired a BIOPIC* *Wisdom Droplet : 243* (www.tinyurl.com/WisdomDroplets) Neera Arya, remembered as Indiaās first woman spy in the Indian National Army (INA), played a courageous role in the nationās freedom struggle. Choosing duty over personal comfort to protect Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and serve the INA. Her bravery, long overlooked, is now being brought to light through a *biopic* by filmmaker Roopa Iyer. Neera Arya was given the responsibility of spying on the British officers. She adopted boysā costumes and spied on the homes of British officers and military camps. She used to share the information she got from here with Netaji.ā Hereās the heroic life story of Neera Arya equivalent to watching the Biopic : Born into a wealthy trader family in Andhra Pradesh in 1902, Neeraās life began in comfort. But beneath the silk sarees and social niceties beat the heart of a revolutionary. After an arranged marriage to Shreekant Jayranjan Das, a British loyalist and CID officer, Neeraās life was thrown into moral chaos. When she discovered her husbandās assignment: to assassinate Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Neera faced a harrowing choiceāstand with her nation or protect her marriage. With unshakable resolve, she chose her country. In a moment that would define her life, Neera killed her own husband to save Netaji. What followed was unimaginable. She was captured by the British, imprisoned in the cellular jail of Andaman and Nicobar by the British Government and subjected to brutal torture. During the time she spent in jail, Neera was bribed that if she divulged information about the leaders of the INC, especially Subhash Chandra Bose, she would be given bail.Ā However, she refused this and even *spat at a prison guard once.* Her fingernails were pulled out. Her body was mutilated. Yet, not a single word of betrayal passed her lips. After independence, her sacrifices were forgotten. Neera sold flowers on the streets of Hyderabad to survive. She lived in poverty but never sought government help. Even in obscurity, her dignity remained unshaken. She died in silence in 1998ābut her story speaks volumes today. š” *Wisdom:* *1. When Values Clash with Relationships, Choose the Higher Truth* Neera made the hardest choice: saving her nation over saving her marriage. š *Learning:* When faced with an ethical conflict at work, in relationships, or in daily lifeāask yourself: *_āWill I be proud of this choice 10 years from now?ā Make decisions based on long-term values, not short-term emotions._* *2. Stand Up Even When You're Standing Alone* Neera was isolated, tortured, and ignored by historyābut she didnāt let that define her worth. š *Learning:* Don't rely on others to validate your efforts. Whether it's an idea at work or a decision in your family, *stand by whatās rightāeven if itās unpopular.* Build inner conviction, not just outer consensus. *3.Be the Fire š„Others Will Warm Themselves By** Her story lay hidden for decades, but now lights a fire in every heart that hears it. š *Learning:** Your life is not just your own. Your courage, your pain, your perseveranceātheyāre **fuel for future generations**. Live in a way that one day, someone will say: _āBecause of them, I didnāt give up.ā_ *4. Let Your Pain Shape Purpose, Not Pity* Despite lifelong physical and emotional trauma, Neera never begged for pity or rewards. š *Learning* : Convert your past struggles into strength. Journal about how a setback made you stronger. Share your journey with someone who needs hope. Use your scars as symbols of survival, not shame. šÆ *Final Thought* Neera Aryaās life whispers a quiet challenge: *āWhat are you willing to stand for, even if it costs you everything?ā* You may not face prison or torture, but each day offers choices that test your character, courage, and clarity. You donāt need a battlefield to become a warrior. You donāt need applause to create impact. You need just one thing: _*A cause you're willing to liveāand dieāfor.*_ Be that kind of human. Be that kind of light. *Be Neera Arya in your own world.* Let her story remind you: _Even in silence, you can roar. Even in darkness, you can shine._ PS: To read more such Life Changing Stories with Learnings, follow *Wisdom Droplet Whatsapp Channel*š https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaqHJBr7T8bYR4f3M30L

*Wisdom Droplet : 229* (www.tinyurl.com/WisdomDroplets) Who is Great (*बऔ़ा ą¤ą„न*) Number 9, being the largest single-digit number, started bossing around number 8, thinking it was superior. This pattern continued, with each number asserting dominance over the next smaller number, until it reached number 1. Meanwhile, number 0, feeling insignificant, quietly went and sat in a corner, thinking it had no value. However, when number 1 noticed 0 sitting alone, it chose to sit beside it instead of dominating it. At that moment, something magical happenedā0 transformed into 10. *Number 1 then said, "Bigger is not the one who feels like being bigger; bigger is the one who makes others bigger."* *Wisdom:* This story is a timeless lesson that power, status, and wealth mean little if they do not help others grow. *The truly GREAT are those who make others GREATER.* 1. *_True Greatness Lies in Lifting Others Up._* Just like 1 made 0 into 10, real leaders empower and uplift others. In life, helping someone grow makes you truly powerful. 2. _*Self-Worth is Not Defined by Size or Position*_ Number 0 felt worthless, just as many people undervalue themselves. But everyone has potential, and the right support can help them realize their worth. 3. _*Power is Not About Dominance but About Inclusion*_ Number 9 tried to dominate, but number 1 chose to stand beside. Greatness comes from being kind, not from controlling others. 4. _*Humility and Compassion Define True Leadership*_ A real leader does not seek to overpower but to bring out the best in others. _Success should not be measured by how high you rise, but by how many you lift along the way._ PS: The above story was shared by Amitabh Bachchan on KBC and can be accessed on the following link : https://www.facebook.com/share/v/15cB4HMy1n/
*Wisdom Droplet : 230* (www.tinyurl.com/WisdomDroplets) This is a inspiring story for All - specially for Entrepreneurs and Human Resource Development professionals. This story explains Human Resource Development in its truest sense. *Story š* *Meet the Man with 27,500 Daughters* Thatās what they call him ā Appa. His real name? KP Ramaswamy. Owner of KPR Mills, Coimbatore. A textile baron by profession. A father figure by choice. While corporate honchos talk about employee retention, cost-cutting, and bottom lines, this man is busy transforming lives. How? By turning mill workers into graduates. By making education their stepping stone to a better life. It all started with a simple request. A young girl at his mill once told him ā _"Appa, I want to study. My parents pulled me out of school because of poverty, but I want to study further."_ *That one sentence changed everything.* _Instead of giving his workers just a paycheck, he decided to give them a future._ He set up a full-fledged education system ā right inside the mill. š Four-hour classes after an eight-hour shift. š Classrooms, teachers, a principal, even a yoga course. š All fully funded. No strings attached. And the result? š 24,536 women have earned their 10th, 12th, UG, and PG degrees. š Many are now nurses, teachers, police officers. š 20 gold medallists from Tamil Nadu Open University this year alone. Now, youād expect a businessman to worry about attrition. What if these women leave? What about workforce stability? Hereās what KP Ramaswamy says ā _"I donāt want to keep them in the mill and waste their potential. They are here because of poverty, not by choice. My job is to give them a future, not a cage."_ They leave. They build careers. And then? They send more girls from their villages to the mill. The cycle continues. At a recent convocation, 350 women received their degrees. And KP Ramaswamy made an unusual request ā "If you or your friends can hire them, it will give other girls the hope to study further." Think about it. A man running a multi-crore empire isnāt asking for business. Heās asking for jobs ā for his workers. How often do we see this? *Wisdom:* This isnāt just a CSR initiative. *This is Human Resource Development in its truest sense.* This story isnāt just about KPR Mills. Itās a lesson in leadership, in *corporate ethics, in nation-building.* B-Schools should teach this. HR professionals should study this. And the world needs to know this. A story worth spreading.
*WisdomDroplet : 231* (www.tinyurl.com/WisdomDroplets) *With #FAITH in Sight, all becomes RIGHT* Faith comes into play only at the time of crisis, and the funniest thing is, at the time of crisis the first thing one loses is faith. There is a story about a Japanese newlywed couple going for their honeymoon in a boat. While on the boat ride, suddenly there was a big storm. The lady got perturbed but the man was very calm and smiling as usual. The lady asked him, āI am so nervous and so afraid that this boat may capsize but you are so calm. We may drown and die.ā Suddenly, he took out his dagger and put it on her neck. She started laughing and said, āIs this the time to tease? Think about our future.ā He said, āWhy are you not scared? I am going to kill you.ā She laughed, āWhen the dagger is in your hand why should I be worried? I know you wonāt do any harm to me.ā He replied, āI have the same relation with nature and God. *When my life is in his hands, he wonāt let me die in a storm like this.* He wonāt let me down. I am not afraid because the strings of my life are in his hands. So why should I worry?ā And the story says that very moment she also became prayerful with her husband and the sea calmed down immediately. *Wisdom :* When it is most needed that is the time when people lose faith. That is why even faith is a gift. It is not your making. It is a gift given to you. _*To have FAITH is to realise that God is protecting you.*_ This is a necessary and a sufficient condition to move ahead in life. When the knowledge that *āI am blessedā is established firmly in oneās life, it is called FAITH.*
*Wisdom Droplet : 232* (www.tinyurl.com/WisdomDroplets) *When Hands Held Hands, Not Mobile Brands* Once upon a Time... When _Window_ was a Square Hole in a Room & _Application_ was Something Written on a Piece of Paper, When _Keyboard_ was a Piano & _Mouse_ just an Animal, When _File_ was an Important Office Material & _Hard Drive_ just an Uncomfortable Road Trip, When _Cut_ was done with Knife & _Paste_ with Glue, When _Web_ was Spider's Home & _Virus_ was Flu, & When _Apple & Blackberry_ were just Fruits... Thats _*When Hands Held Hands, Not Mobile Brands*_ *Wisdom* *1. Create Rather Than Just Consume* Lesson: People once spent time creating art, writing letters, and making things by hand instead of passively consuming digital content. Action Point: Engage in creative pursuitsāwrite, draw, play an instrument, cook, or build something with your hands. *2. Build Genuine Relationships* Lesson: Before social media, friendships and *relationships were nurtured through time and effort, not just "likes" and comments.* Action Point: Make an effort to meet friends and family in person. Write handwritten notes or make phone calls instead of relying solely on digital messages. *3. Be in Control of Technology, Not Controlled by It* Lesson: While technology has many benefits, it should be a tool to enhance life, not dictate it. *Wisdom Droplet : 233* (www.tinyurl.com/WisdomDroplets) *Logic or Emotion: Which should you prioritize while making tough decisions* *Story* A group of children were playing near two railway tracks, one still in use while the other unused. Only one child playing on the unused track, the rest of them on the operational track. _Consider yourself as a train driver and you have to make the tough decision - On which track will you pass the train - One on which many students are playing or the one on which only one student is playing ?_ The train is coming, and you are just beside the track interchange. You can make the train change its course to the unused track and save most of the kids. However, that would also mean the lone child playing by the unused track would be sacrificed. Or would you rather let the train go itās the way? Letās take a pause to think what kind of decision we could make⦠Scroll down # # # # # # Most people might choose to divert the course of the train and sacrifice only one child. You might think the same way, I guess. Exactly, to save most of the children at the expense of only one child was rational decision most people would make, morally and emotionally. But, have you ever thought that the child choosing to play on the unused track had in fact made the right decision to play at a safe place? Nevertheless, he had to be sacrificed because of his ignorant friends who chose to play where the danger was. This kind of dilemma happens around us every day. In the office, community, in politics and especially in a democratic society, the minority is often sacrificed for the interest of the majority, no matter how foolish or ignorant the majority are, and how farsighted and knowledgeable the minority are. The child who chooses not to play with the rest on the operational track was sidelined. And in the case he was sacrificed. The great critic Leo Velski Julian who told the story said he would not try to change the course of the train because he believed if the train was diverted to the track, we could put the lives of all passengers on board at stake! And in your attempt to save a few kids by sacrificing one child, you might end up sacrificing hundreds of people to save these few kids. So we should have the _*Courage to Do Right, Even When Itās Unpopular but Logical*_ *Wisdom :* While we are all aware that life is full of tough decisions that need to be made, we may not realize that *hasty decisions may not always be the right one.* _āRemember that whatās right isnāt always popular⦠and whatās popular isnāt always right.ā_ Before making decisions, analyze the bigger picture and weigh all possible outcomes. A true leader doesnāt make decisions to please the majority but does what is right and Logical, even if it's unpopular. *Action Point: Develop the courage to take tough, unpopular decisions when they are ethically and logically correct.*
