He kept on pounding on his father's word "Giselle is in there getting tortured yet I can't do anything " He thought roughing his hair in frustration. "Just some hours from now father is gonna kill her " He thought again and sighed "Marry Cheryl...... become the heir and send her away" He thought about his father's words "I thought I could be able to save you but how will I do it when I'm blind. I fucking hate myself..... I hate this partial blindness...... I fucking hate father for putting me in this condition " He mumbled, balling his fist . . . SOME HOURS LATER... (Evening of the previous day) Immediately the sun went down, Prince Norman left his room without waiting for his escort,,,,, He walked into his father's study and without knocking he barged the door opened "Why will you barge in this way,,,,, have you lost your sanity Norman???? " He gasped seeing the way she laid on the ground with blood gesturing out of her back He hurried his pace and walked towards her His eyes widened seeing her clothes filled with blood He quickly raised her dress and his eyes almost pumped out of it's socket seeing her peeled skin Her skin could hardly be recognized,it was peeled and covered with blood. " He whispered balling his fist "No,,,man" she called faintly A gasp escaped his lips, seeing some visible scars on her back "I was worried,,I thought you wouldn't come for me" Giselle said and smiled weakly "If anything happens to you,,it's going to be the end for me" Prince Norman said trying to control his tears "I'm gonna get you out of the mansion tonight..... Immediately he was gone, Grandma Flores opened her eyes . She stood up and moved to where Giselle was laid on the mat She crouched down to her and shook her head....... Her dress was already torn slightly due to the whip that was used on her Grandma Flores sighed and tore the dress completely A gasp escaped from her mouth seeing her back. It was filled with blood and some visible scars could be seen,, "Holy Christ!! "Grandma Flores exclaimed "My son has bitten more he could chew all because of a damn throne,,,, all because of a throne that doesn't belong to him" She muttered She traced her fingers around the corner of her injuries and Giselle groaned in pains before falling asleep back again "she's hurt" " Grandma Flores said and brought out the first aid box that was beside the mat that Giselle laid on Grandma Flores took the wipes from the first aid box and began to clean Giselle 's wound with the wipes and alcohol Giselle let out a scream and gritted her teeth in pains She later took an Antibiotic and applied it on her wounds She took the bandage and dressed her wounds up.......She watched her sighed and continued sleeping again "You're such a sleepyhead..... You will be fine child" Granny said stroking her hair She later covered her body with the blanket Grandma Flores was interrupted by the sudden knock on the door,, Grandma,,,is me" Prince Norman said from outside "Come in" Prince Norman went straight to where Giselle and Grandma Flores where "I'm sorry for coming this late,,,,,, I needed to sort out everything with father and the Elders about being the next king,,,,, how is she Grandma" He asked crouching down and sitting beside his Grandma "Why did you allow your father to hurt her so much??" Grandma flores asked in a cold voice "You can't blame me Granny,,,,,you know that I'm blind and I wouldn't be able to help " He mumbled "she will be fine" Granny muttered and he heave "Thank you for saving her,,," Prince Norman said and removed the string of her hair from her face ***** SOME HOURS LATER** Giselle managed to sit up on the mat as she woke up,,she touched her back a little feeling the Bandage,the pain was so bad that she almost wishes her back wasn't there. "Where I am " She thought looking around The last thing she remembered was Prince Norman sending her away,,,,,, she cried, begging him and eventually falling asleep Just remembering how Prince Norman sent her away brought tears to her eyes "Why did he have to do that to me????...... Have we left Louisiana for good " She thought still staring around "My princess " She heard a familiar voice "Princess you're awake" Prince Norman said as he covered the space between them Giselle rubbed her eyes softly. She looked up and saw it was her Norman "Norman?? " She called doubting "aren't I dreaming?? " She thought and pinched her nose She growled out of the pains she felt "Norman,,,,, is this you" She said touching him as he sit beside her "It's me princess ,,,,,, common eat first, I will explain everything better"He muttered and she nodded slowly Prince Norman took the tray of food that was on the stool close to the mat ,he opened it and Giselle tummy made a loud noise and without thinking twice,she pulled it from him and started eating hungry. " He asked and Giselle quickly used her hand to cover her mouth "please don't say no" He said pouting out his mouth . . . . . . ~~THE WEDDING DAY MORNING~~ Cheryl was done dressing for the wedding,,,, she kept taking pictures and grinning to herself "I'm getting married to the cutest prince in the world " She uploaded it on facebook She smiled widely seeing all the comments that popped in,,,,, She checked at the time and smiled,,,,of course she still has some hours left since the wedding will be done in the evening All of a sudden her room door burst opened, she gasped and looked up She furrowed her eyebrows when she noticed it was a guard that had barged the door opened "are you crazy!! Why will you barge into my room " She snorted The guard ignored her question and walked towards her instead He grabbed her from behind and quickly covered her mouth with an handkerchief, she inhaled whatever was inside and passed out immediately . . . . Cheryl woke up to find herself in an unknown room...... She held her spinning head and sat up. She wondered how long she had slept since it was evening already She looked around and saw an elderly woman meditating "where am I??,,,who are you???, what am I doing here?? " She asked in one breath. "One question at a time " Grandma Flores replied "Speak already,,,, I got no patience "She yelled "you're in layette city and this place you are is my hut" She replied making Cheryl frowned the more "And what am I doing here,,,, the last thing I remember is me preparing for my wedding.....oh my gosh!! " Cheryl suddenly screamed "My wedding " She yelled getting up from the floor she sat. She looked down at herself and saw she was putting on a bloody torn dress She gasped remembering it was the same dress Giselle had worn the day she lashes the whip on her "What the fuck is my wedding gown and why I'm I dressed this way?? " She asked raising her voice Grandma Flores eyes were still shut as she continued meditating "Answer me you witch!! " Cheryl groaned but instead Grandma Flores remained silent "You're such a waste,,,,, They might be looking for me now,,, I need to get back " Cheryl muttered and walked to the door "The prince would be getting married to Giselle this evening..... You can't stop it cuz you're late already. The rightful owner of the throne will take her full responsibility. Giselle is a queen and a queen she will forever remain" She muttered "What nonsense are you splitting now??? " Cheryl said and shook her Prince Norman and Giselle broke the kiss The king breathing became so intensified,,,, he's still in shock and couldn't believe Prince Norman had placed a smart one on him "I have made him king" He whispered to himself He can't believe he had been played in his whole game "The witch is gonna take what rightfully belongs to her,,,, no !!! I can't take defeat! " He muttered Prince Norman pulled Giselle to himself as they turned to face the crowd "My Elders,,,, the coronation can now begin"Prince Norman uttered "You lie!! " A loud scream could be heard The crowd split themselves into two as Prince Darrel walked out of the crowd He hair was so messy and he was reeking from alcohol He brought out a cigarette from his mouth and lit it before putting it in between his lip "Do you think you can be made king when I'm still alive??" he said and burst into an uncontrollable laughter "of course not brother" He replied and blew out the smoke that was coming out of his mouth Prince Norman stood transfixed watching his brothers . Prince Darrel was the type that drinks drink or smoke but seeing him this way right now, means he was very hurt "I have worked so hard for this throne,,,, I even became a daddy's boy but this old king decided to stab me behind,,,, do you think Norman will rule this kingdom when I'm still alive?? " He asked and Shook his head "since I can't become king when Norman is still alive then I got no choice than to end everything " He said and quickly brought a gun out of his pant pocket making everyone gasped "Noooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" My neighbors kids are fond of playing stupid pranks. You can wake up to find a dead bat at your entrance or a lizard chilling on your car bonnet. And when you scream—especially the ladies—you’ll hear giggles from a corner or even see camera lights flashing. Yes, they record the reactions for fun. Either that or they’ll come out every morning to skip half naked where their brezz and yansh will be bouncing upandan. As a man you dare not go close to your window when they’re skipping or doing yoga, else you will explain tire to your wife or babe why you’re looking outside. Some of the other tenants have complained to their parents and even the landlord, but nothing has been done. The parents are the typical “We don’t believe in flogging” type. In fact, they’ll boldly tell you to “grow a pair” or “learn to take a joke.” Mind you, these girls aren’t children. The most useless one is about 18 or 19. They had never targeted us directly—until one day. I was coming back from work under the hot sun and saw the girl walking. As a good neighbor, I stopped and offered her a ride. She was so excited. She said she’d been hoping I’d pass because she knew my route and even my closing time. Huh! In my head I’m like, “WTF!” She must’ve seen the confusion on my face because she burst into loud, wild laughter, throwing her hands backward and bending under the seat like she was about to faint. I swear, I almost crashed the car. I thought she was running mad. “Are you okay?” I asked. She just giggled and said, “Your face! I wish I had my camera on.” I forced a nervous laugh and drove straight to our compound, eager for her to get out of my car. I didn’t gist my wife because she doesn’t like them and would’ve mocked me endlessly. After that incident, I changed my route completely. I either came home earlier than usual or much later. Two weeks later, my wife went to get the car washed. While she was there, we were chatting on the phone. Then she suddenly went silent and came back home looking like a volcano ready to erupt. Apparently, the car wash guy found a g-string pant under the seat. Omo, war broke out in my house that day. I’m sure the entire neighborhood and the next street heard our voices for the very first time. I was shouting. My wife was screaming. I almost swore by Sango that I had no idea how that pant got there. For the life of me, I couldn’t explain the how, where or who! It took the grace of God and plenty swear both with Bible and my preeq for my wife to let it go. But even then, I knew I wasn’t off the hook. About an hour after the fight, someone knocked. I opened the door and saw her—the girl I gave a ride to. She said she wanted to speak to both me and my wife. I told her it wasn’t a good time, but she insisted. Curious, I let her in. Then she turned to my wife and said: “I’m sorry. It was just a prank.” Prank? What is a prank? She said the pant was hers. That the day I gave her a ride, she hid it under the seat as a joke. “Which day?!” my wife barked. I was speechless. She repeated her apology and asked if she could have her pant back. The look my wife gave her sent her running out of the house. “You carried that brat in my car?!” Another fight started. We later went to her house to report to her parents. They said, “She’s just a child playing games. Please forgive her, we’ll talk to her.” That same evening, we saw them heading out to the shawarma and ice cream spot across the estate. I begged my wife to let it go. But I knew her. She wouldn’t until she had responded in kind. Two weeks later, my wife had gone to work. I was at home when we heard screams outside. I rushed out—and what I saw shocked me. A masquerade was flogging the life out of the girl at the gate. And this wasn’t small flogging. It was intentional, well-coordinated flogging. She was screaming and begging, but the masquerade didn’t stop. Omo, I was confused and scared. A masquerade? In an estate for that matter?! How, from where? I looked around. None of the neighbors made any attempt to help. Instead, they were laughing and recording with their phones. I ran forward to stop the masquerade, but he pointed the cane at me. I paused. He continued flogging. I moved again, determined to stop him. Just then, he bolted into a parked car I hadn’t noticed earlier. Before I could blink, the car sped off. Masquerade with a getaway driver?! I helped the girl up. She was bruised and battered, still crying and screaming. I called her parents and waited with her until they came and rushed her to the hospital. Hospital ontop cane! Well I went home and few minutes later my wife came back with a bag I didn’t notice before. I quickly downloaded everything that happened to my wife except the part where I tried to intervene Yet, this woman looked at me and said, “Busy body. Knight in shining armor. Out of everybody only you wanted to help, abi? Superman.” She hissed and went to take a shower Ho-how did she know? Curious, I opened the bag. Inside? Masquerade costume. Just then, her phone beeped. Since we know each other’s passwords, I opened it. It was a message from her best friend, Fatimah: “Howfar, sebi your husband no suspect anything abi? Bad girl. Just call me next time you wan flog person again, I’m always at your service.” Women The End

She stood still not knowing if she should reciprocate the kiss or not Prince Norman bit her lower lip making her moan slightly as she opened up. Her eyes shut on their own accord as she started kissing him back Prince Darrel couldn't stare at the scene anymore..... He just couldn't take it. He held his chest as he felt pains...... It's like a sword had been pierced into his heart He balled his fist and walked away in pain. "Two minutes exhausted "Prince Norman said removing his hands from her waist after breaking the kiss "You shouldn't have done that" Giselle said playing with her fingers "But you kissed me back.... Isn't it Amazing " The king smiles sheepishly, turning to face Cheryl and the guards Giselle held onto prince Norman tightly as she flinched in fright.........she had never been this scared all her life Yeah! The Giselle she knew was strong. The Giselle that wasn't afraid of anybody. The Giselle that's ready to kick some bitchy ass Yes! That was the Giselle she knew but right now she was the opposite of herself. She was damn scared....... always had this fright in her anytime she saw the king...... She was so weak at his sight "why barging into my room this way. Can't I have some privacy?? "He asked "Amazing!! "The king said and chuckled "Guards!!! Take her to my torture chamber...... Someone will be killed tonight" He ordered "come close to her and I'm gonna hit you bad...... Trust that!"He said seriously making the guards froze on their spot "You fools..... Get her now. Lock her up as instructed by the king"Cheryl snorted Giselle was already crying by now...... Her tears had soaked Prince Norman top "Don't let them take me away...... I don't wanna get locked again" Giselle cried "I'm here.... I'm here" Prince Norman assured but slowly his vision was becoming blurred "my eyes" He muttered slowly as he became blind completely "son...... Help yourself first before helping others..... Take her away" The king ordered "Bitch..! Your doom is here.... I told ya I'm gonna get rid of you! " Cheryl said and pulled Giselle away from Prince Norman She held him firmly not wanting to let go but Cheryl strength seems to be stronger Cheryl finally pulled her away from Prince Norman and she landed on the floor "Take her away! " Cheryl retorted A guard held her and started pulling her out of his room "Do something Norman!!!!..... Please help me "She cried Prince Norman bit on his lip as he couldn't do anything. The fact that he couldn't see what's going on right now is annoying Giselle was led out by the guard as Cheryl trailed behind them The king was left with Prince Norman "Father why are you doing this....... Why can't you give back what you stole..... " Prince Norman as he stood up from his bed Even if he can't see, he still knows his way to the window "I'm never going to give it back...........I have killed to get this throne " The king muttered and Prince Norman shook his head "you're gonna kill her again..... Isn't it" Prince Norman asked and the king smirked "I will spare her life in two conditions" He said "Which are?? "Prince Norman asked "Marry Cheryl...... Take responsibility as the new heir and then send Giselle away from Louisiana never to return " The king said and clenched his jaw "Is that all? " Prince Norman asked "Sure son,,,, " The king replied patting his shoulders ***** ~~TORTURE ROOM~~ Giselle was in tears as she was being tied up,she couldn't think of anything The fact that she was gonna be tortured again makes her shrieked in fright . " She thought sadly as the tears kept falling Suddenly the door opened and she looked up even though her eyes were getting blurry with her tears, she could see it was Cheryl and some guards . She sniffed in as cheryl walked towards her with her face straight up She stopped right in front of him,there was silence for some minutes until she spoke up "What are you going to do to me?" Giselle spat out weakly "Why rushing? Anyway.... He will never come to you Cheryl continued using the whips on her continuously and at the same time,her screams filled the room but it didn't move Cheryl...... She made sure her back skin got so peeled covered with slash Cheryl stopped and smirked evil "Don't you ever get close to my husband ever again.......do you fucking get that?" She yelled and Giselle chuckled. Cheryl folded her fist as she burned in anger She took the bucket of water that was beside Giselle and poured it all over her body. The pain in her back increased immediately,s minting so badly that she broke into tears again. Cheryl pulled Giselle by her hair making her scream so badly "Bitch!! "Cheryl sneered ******************* Darrel walked into the palace...... he looked around and frowned seeing all the decorations the maid and guards were doing "is father is planning a party " He thought as he climbed the stairs Yeah! He was coming back home after spending his night in a hotel How he got there, he didn't know and surprisingly, someone even changed his wear A Lot happened last night but he couldn't remember a thing A guard walked up to him and knelt "My prince...... the king demands your presence in his room" The guard said with his head bowed Prince Darrel furrowed his eyebrows and walked out of the guard....... He walked to his father's study and wondered why he was sent for her He got there and opened the door to see his brother Prince Rex He entered the study fully and shut the door ..... "He's here now old man...... Can you please tell us why you sent it to us?" Prince Rex asked The king who was facing the window and sighed before turning to stare at them "Your brother Norman is getting married tomorrow night ".He said making Prince Rex eyes widened "Don't tell me you're gonna do this to him father? "Prince Rex asked "Not only will he get married but I'm making him a king as well....... I'm stepping down from the throne"He said and Prince Darrel gasped "What do you mean father?? " Prince Darrel asked not believing his ears "You heard well son..... I'm making Norman the next heir of New Orleans city "He said and Prince Darrel chuckled "You lie father!! "He blurted out "I'm not gonna sit and watch you make Norman king over me...... I'm not gonna take that shirt "Prince Darrel spat out Prince Rex leaned on the wall and dipped his hands into his pant pocket watching the drama "over my dead body will Norman rule when I'm still alive..... "Prince Rex whispered before walking out of the study room too . . . . . ~~KAY RESIDENCE ~~ *SOME HOURS LATER* (EVENING) Audrey kept panting her nails...... she swagged her head to the beat of the music she was playing Her mom has gone out as usual and her father was still bedridden She smiled cutely when she remembered how Prince Darrel had poked on her It took her two hours to get his clothes changed "Swear..... Alcohol isn't for him" She said grinning to her self "Giselle!! "She heard a voice behind her..... She looked up and gasped to see her father "Father!" She exclaimed looking at him from head to toe "Where's Giselle?? " He asked "Gosh!! Father!!! You can walk now..... You're fucking using your legs!! " Audrey screamed "Where's your sister??" Elder Kay asked gripping onto his stomach "Fath....." "I demand to know where Giselle is " He said raising his voice "She...... she... She's at the palace.... the king took her to work on your absence " Audrey blurted out without thinking "What!! "Elder Kay screamed as his eyes widened "G... iselle " He moaned moving to the door "Father you can't go...... You aren't strong " Audrey said but Elder Kay paid deaf ears as he walked out of his house . . . . ~~THE KING PALACE ~~ ***** "N.... orman" Giselle moaned as she lay flat on the ground The chain had been removed after all the torture given to her by Cheryl and the guards She heard the sound of the door opened and she flinched "Princess!! " She could hear his faint voice Prince Norman walked to her and his eyes widened seeing her back He moved to her back,,her clothes were filled with blood His eyes almost pump out of it's socket seeing her peeled skin Her skin could hardly be recognized,it was peeled and covered with blood. "Father!! " He whispered balling his fist "No,,,man" she called faintly Prince Norman crunched down to her and tore her top , a gasp escaped his lips seeing her whole back. It was filled with blood and some visible scars could be seen "I was worried,,I thought you wouldn't come for me" Giselle said and smiled weakly "If anything happens to you,,it's going to be the end for me" Prince Norman said trying to control his tears "I'm gonna get you out of the mansion tonight..... Trust me " Prince Norman said and she managed to nod "Climb on my back " He mumbled Giselle managed to lift her body and climbed on his back Prince Norman positioned her on his back before standing up They walked out of the torture chamber as Giselle kept groaning Prince Norman made sure no one was looking as he walked through the corridor "All will be well " he thought sadly They made out of the palace and luckily no one saw them "where are we going " Giselle managed to speak "we are leaving Louisiana and going to a place far away from this nightmare "He muttered "Are we eloping?? " She asked again "Something like that"He replied and positioned her on his back again Giselle shut her eyes and groaned painfully. "My prince.... I have been waiting for you "Giselle heard an unfamiliar voice making her open her eyes She saw a guard standing beside a car "is he the one taking us" Giselle asked slowly feeling sleepy already Prince Norman couldn't reply....... He nodded slowly and opened the car door He dropped Giselle in the car and shut the door without entering "Make sure she's safe and take her far away from here" Prince Norman said to the guard "aren't you..... coming.... with me" Giselle said weakly "No princess......... "He said and shook his head "Maybe our destiny ends here...... Not everyone has a happy ending.......i love you princess ..... I fucking do but I guessed its time to say goodbye..... I want you to be happy. I hope you can get back your father's throne but it seems impossible....... Bye Princess" He said as the driver whined up "No Norman!!! no don't do this to me....... We can mate right now and bring your father down...... Please don't send me away " Giselle cried Prince Norman gave her a soft smile "It's all over princess, be happy and start afresh" He muttered and almost immediately the driver started the car "Norman please...... You promise not to leave me...... I don't need the throne..... You're the one I need please don't send me away " She said as more tears gestured down her face She tried opening the car door but it was locked Tears dropped off Norman eyes as he watched the car "Maybe this is the right thing to do.......she's never gonna be safe with him and he has given father his words" He thought "Tomorrow is my wedding with Cheryl.....
