*Perfecting Nail Art with Passion and Precision* By Mthulisi Wetitsa THN | 04/02/25 | #Luyengo Mandisa Dlamini, a self-taught nail tech based in Luyengo, has turned her perfectionist instincts and hands-on creativity into a thriving career in the beauty industry. What started as curiosity—"I thought I could do it myself!"—has grown into a craft she passionately perfects, one nail set at a time. Working in her familiar hometown allows Mandisa to build strong relationships with her clients, who keep coming back for her attention to detail and bubbly personality. “I’ll stress over a design until I perfect it,” she says, but her fun, adventurous conversations make every appointment enjoyable. For Mandisa, the most rewarding part is seeing her clients’ joy. “A new nail set changes a girl’s mood, and I’m grateful to be part of that.” Despite challenges like limited funding, she’s learned to prioritize, embrace creativity, and stay inspired by social media trends, which have been key to her growing brand. Her advice for aspiring nail techs? “Be bold and start small. Creativity goes a long way. And make TikTok your best friend to keep up with trends!” Mandisa’s journey proves that with passion and perseverance, even the smallest beginnings can blossom into something extraordinary.
